I generally think of nick names as the ones used by teammates etc.Fan-based ones can get pretty silly Fair enough, I find some of them silly, but as long as it distinguishes a player from all the rest and fits his profile I just view it as good fun especially with players becoming harder and harder to differentiate (stats and play wise).
