People on CDC have asked me why I'm so high on Demko as a goaltender. It looks like I'm not the only one. An article in The Hockey News yesterday has Markstrom rated as the 5th best goaltending prospect in the world while Demko is rated as the fourth best.

The Hockey News is a fairly respected in-print hockey magazine.

Matt OConnor, OTT

Jusse Saros,NSH

Ilya Samsonov, BUF

Well I hope your right. It's funny how we used to never have a decent goalie now he seem to stumble on good goalie after goalie.

Hockey News praises our goalie prospects? All hail the Hockey News, they're respected!

Numerous outlets and analysts criticize Benning? Idiots! how do they have jobs!

Actually, I'm one of the few people on CDC that doesn't worry about what the rest of the board considers the consensus on a Canucks related topic.

InB4 someone says pointless Miller gets extended or some such nonsense.

They're prospects. Markstrom has a lot to prove, Demko has a lot to prove. The future might be bright but I am not staring at suddenly tight trousers because of an article.

Exciting yes, but wait a and see approach is best

Yeah, tough to take this article seriously when both Gibson and Saros are behind Markstrom and Demko.

Still, I suspect in a couple years none of us will care that Lack was traded.

Trousers ? I thought I was old. You hit the nail on the head there but the thing that concerns me is that we are one injury away from "prospects" being our 1-2 in net (probably not Demko for #2 but another prospect all the same). Not very smart for a team that claims to want to compete for a playoff spot.
