oldnews
Rumours out of New York - a young goaltender is on the move to make way for the other young goaltender to seize the starting role moving forward. Jake and Jacob will not have to share the crease this coming season on Long Island. The Isles also have some extra depth of young NHL forwards and defensemen and are listening to offers. Interested in upgrading our forward group - willing to move multiple pieces/packages to do so. Aside from Brodie, Ekholm, Backes, Jenner, and Namestnikov, inquiries are welcome regarding pretty much anyone.

Nail
Sorry for my inactivity over the last week. I have just updated all spreadsheets to reflect the 73M salary cap we will be using next season. I also will be going through my inbox and hopefully completing all negotiations so teams may start planning for free agency. Once this is done, I will remove all pending free agents and unqualified RFA's from all teams sheets to make it look a little cleaner. Thanks all! It was definitely hard having to trade one of our top prospects away, but with Comrie and Blackwood in the pipes, someone was expendable. It is nice however to clear some cap space, while still being able to trade for a 1a goalie. Now, we just wait to see how the Blues deal with their goaltending situation. Nail
All teams spreadsheets should be a little cleaner now. The OP that Oldnews recently quoted is wrong on one part. The first day to send in free agency offers is June 27th (in other words, next Monday). The first day players will start to accept offers is July 1st. From the 27th to the 1st, players will be able to talk to teams about fit, playing time and term length, money etc. You may find the free agency spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17-A9zYzwCzJFmCwsFL1eRb5wTFW_LgkQV67wuqlsub0/edit#gid=1285308425 Mike Vanderhoek will handle negotiatoins for all players that Tampa Bay is interested in signing. Any other teams that send in an offer for these players will be told to 1. Re-send their offers to MV and 2. F*ck off they're mine!!! For the rare cases that myself and MV may send in an offer for the same player, Monty will handle the negotations. If all three of us send in an offer for the same player, I will back out of the sweepstakes for that player.
JimLahey
PIT will be making recently drafted Julien Gauthier, along with other recent first round picks available in exchange for a top four defenseman. Can only take on about $5,000,000 in salary in a deal.
