We wanted to keep him but likely won't get to use him in the playoffs or give him the dollar amount he will want. So we made a decision to get a return for him instead of keeping him.FLA is excited to bring in Sonny Milano, we wanted to draft him in 2014 but did not have that extra 1st rounder we were looking for to do so. A few other teams in the mix for Milano, and I'm sad to see him go, as he's going to be a stud. Wish him luck in sunny Florida. Also want to thank Keslerific for great negotiations. On paper he has a great team, and it's only a matter of time before he gets going.The Carolina Hurricanes have promised there fans after an abysmal year last season that we would be competitive. Getting an all-star defenseman in Yandle is going to boost our playoff chances for this season and hopefully for years to come. The Lightning are pleased to welcome Byron into the organization. He will provide NHL depth which is needed due to injuries.We will send down Connor Brickley to make room for Byron. He's played 2 games already, and has picked up a goal and an assist. With the rash of injuries that the Wild have sustained (Parise, Fontaine, Graovac), hopefully Downing gets a call up soon. We're very glad to add them, and hope they'll give us the push to catch Boston.We didn't want to trade the recently extended Lowry or the recently acquired Bartkowski, but they were crucial to the deal.
