Covid has definitely made scalping too easy. Put 1k in, very easy to hit 2 20% returns for $400 before 7am, sometimes even in pre market. Someone making $50/hour makes $400 in an 8 hour work day.

Obviously not a full time strategy as long term those gains won't be consistent, which is why I won't quit to "trade full time" but covid has definitely heavily added to the vacation, mortgage and retirement funds all just because I enjoy waking up early for my coffee.

If you can wake up early enough, SINT should have a crazy run up Monday in pre market that if you can get in early, you could flip it before market even opens, or just after

Volatility and volume can be a traders friend but realize that this too will end.

What's the story?

https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2020/06/20/2050913/0/en/SINTX-TECHNOLOGIES-ANNOUNCES-SARS-COV-2-TESTING-RESULTS.html

Results released Saturday morning at 12:56AM

Also add in that it's a low float of 10M available shares. Given that small amount and combine with the fact it will probably do 50M+ in volume tomorrow it could run and run heavy..

Here's my dilema. Market opens at 630? If buy then how much more does it pop  ?

Pre-market opens at 1am.. She will be long gone by 6:30am. My pre-market is 5am and I will be up to see how it's going.

This one is purely a scalp trade, get in and get out while you can. Once the drop hits it will be fast and furious.

Got you. I don't think I can buy premarket. I am up early enough no sweat there. Just don't think  I have the platform.

@Sp3nny Not sure if you bought IDEX, but I’ve come across people saying all sorts of crazy stuff about it.

SP, ranging from $3-$20 this coming week and long term $100. Even possibility of fraud as they’ve got accounts in the Cayman Islands.

If it spikes up next week, you might want to sell enough shares to get your original investment back and risk the rest unless you really believe in this company.

Oh interesting. I did pick up a few hundred shares late Friday @ 2.09.

I like the orders they are getting, and they are getting quite a few as of late. And the vehicles they are providing are legit too, from Kia, Toyota etc. Seems quite promising to me, but I haven't seen anything about fraud, so thanks for that, I'll definitely look into it and hopefully dig something up.

I bought it for long term, but if it flies up next week I will definitely consider pulling some out. I was also banking on the fact of them getting compliance after Monday I think, which should help it grow further.

SHLL - Tortoise Acquisition Corp aka Hyliion soon to be converted to HYLN.

https://www.hyliion.com https://twitter.com/hyliion https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SHLL

Time for another SPAC and once again it's an EV company. No reason to suspect that it wont run like NKLA.

https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20200619005104/en/Hyliion-Tortoise-Acquisition-Corp.-Announce-Merger-Combined

  • Pro forma implied market capitalization of the combined company over $1.5 billion.
  • Transaction includes an upsized $325 million fully committed PIPE.
  • Proceeds will be used to fully fund the commercialization and mass production of the company’s electrified powertrain solutions.
  • The compatibility of Hyliion’s products with conventional vehicle architectures and chassis accelerates near term adoption of electrification solutions in the commercial vehicle market.
  • Founder and CEO Thomas Healy will be joined by Tortoise Acquisition Corp.’s Vince Cubbage and Stephen Pang in a newly formed board of directors.
  • Hyliion announced today that it's preparing to hit the public market toward the end of the third quarter of 2020.

Interesting. Is this on the market now? Looks like $15/share?

Yes, merger won’t happen till Sept/Oct. it may run at anytime but who knows.. If you’re a patient person and can wait then you can do well. Certainly won’t be going lower then $10 because of the SPAC price but the upside is $50+

Low risk / High Reward.

I was looking at that one since I'm having success with the SPAC's.

Used all my USD funds on GPAQ that should run this week with the merger vote on the 30th (NFL hall of fame). Will flip the funds on this if there isn't a big run

That’s not a bad idea, I looked a little into GPAQ. Has a good story, looks like it could be good one. I just don’t personally want to invest in something that requires a crowd right now.

Been some chatter in here about TVIX lately.

Credit Suisse to delist 9 of its highly-leveraged ETFs

Mon 22 Jun 2020 13:09:37 GMT

TVIX and UGLD on the chopping block

Credit Suisse is shutting down some of its most-popular products. Exchange traded notes tied to gold, silver, natural gas and the VIX will be delisted July 11 and no further notes will be issued starting today.

This was the sole reason given:

As part of its continuing effort to monitor and manage its suite of exchange traded notes, Credit Suisse AG has decided to delist the foregoing ETNs with a view to better align its product suite with its broader strategic growth plans.
On the chopping block:

  • UGLD
  • USLV
  • DGLD
  • DSLV
  • UGAZ
  • DGAZ
  • ZIV
  • VIIX
  • TVIX
TVIX (triple VIX) and UGAZ (triple natural gas) are two of the top-20 most popular ETFs on Robinhood. Combined there are more than $2 billion invested in those two. You wonder if the money invested in some of these products makes its way into individual stocks and if taking some liquidity away from VIX products has any effect.

This should have been done immediately after the XIV blowup. You have to wonder if there were losses that triggered it. Here is the full release.
