I know it's not sexy but has anyone been eyeing any gold stocks lately? I currently own KL but also thinking of picking up more plus also looking at IMG. I feel like gold still has a ways to run and is just consolidating right now but the selling pressure has been a bit overblown. Being patient right now and waiting for $50 entry price on KL and $4 for IMG.

I own KL, AR, AEM, CEF, FVI and FNV.  Been buying since gold was 1200/ounce.  My biggest surprise is that gold is not the counter play to market indices as I thought it would be. IMHO the drive upward will really kick in after Covid vaccines are out. At that point markets will focus on the financial fallout and people will get scared into gold.

I just sold half... playing with house money now. It shot up so fast.. I was half expecting to wake up to a 10% pull back, not a 10% gain.

Good for you! I always struggle with the idea of selling original investment and letting it ride or not. I might have to sell some...

PSTH, i know we have talked about it before but they're closing in on a company it would seem.

Largest spac in history.. Sounds like they're closing in on Stripe..

Bill Ackman the CEO is a certified wall street god and genius.. In Feb 2020 he bought 27M of credit default swaps when he realized the market was going to crash.. Well, he made 2.6B 3 months later..

Seth Klarman, whos another wall street god, hedge fund manager just invested 400M into PSTH..

Given Bills thought that the end of the year will be bad on the market but he's bullish on 2021 I foresee this transaction being announced in Jan/Feb 2021.

Oh, and Stripe offers payment processing for e-commerce websites and has around 2B in annual revenue with a current valuation of 36B, no big deal..

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have been hoping this dips back to 22's but I doubt that happens. Will await an entry, but I think this is going to be a home run in Q1

Wow. Unbelievable.

If Resolute does take over and Cathie leaves, you best believe majority of current arkk shareholders are leaving with her.

Do they not realize the value of ARKK is Cathie? They have little value if Resolute throws in some figurehead to try and run it.

It's in Resolute's best interest to keep her as the face of the fund, and they know this. I'm sure it will get figured out

Well I lost my shirt in the oils so I thought I had better try another commodity. :)

I took some profit in FVI and put it into KL. Some of my FNV is in USD. When I move out of this play I will likely sell all except FNV. The Q4 results should really be strong as they will get the full benefit of the higher gold price. FVI is still building out their Argentina mine and KL plans on doubling their production over next 2 years. AEM still ramping up their NWT mines.

I cannot get overly excited by bullion dropping as there could be any number of reasons. There is some income loss in these stocks as their dividends are meager. I factor that in on my profit considerations. That said I am anticipating a double or more over the next 2 years, As is I have lost half my gains YTD over the past 2 months.

Yeah first portion of the year I was in XOM, CVX, VLO and MPC and I lost a lot.

Right now I am in EPD and COP and I am actually up.

Newmont is the stock I got since I have been following it for 2-3 years.

Well congrats on that. KL was actually the last gold stock I bought so my cost $64. Not worried at all about this one. Their EPS growth has been forecasted at + 27% next year. Production growth from 500k ounces to 1.1 million in 2 years. Top that with low cost.

Man what a great couple of weeks, XPEV, DKNG, RVP, MEDS all giving huge gains, back into MEDS at 4.71 for the next spike up. Sold all of RVP and XPEV. Waiting for DKNG to go back to the 60s. Up 9% but keeping full.

TTCF is intriguing, especially at the current sub 16 price. I have a small position.

GMHI spiked today, I think this will hit 13-14 next week and then I'll sell most of my position. In at 10.25. Sold 25% today since it's a Friday.

Is one of you talking in CAD dollars (KL.TO) and the other talking in USD (KL) ?

Same company, but your big difference in price points would make sense.

Entered Pfizer large today. I think 35.80 was bottom, caught pretty close at 35.90.

Submitting for emergency FDA any day, the approval should be a big catalyst. Mr. Buffet entered yesterday and more tutes piled in today.

Any news in the future of partnering with Amazon on their new pharmacy would just be a gift.

Is Pfizer profiting much from the vaccine? I'm reading about it online and it says it's about 15$ to manufacture and they have a contract for $1.95 billion dollars for 100,000,000 doses ($19.5 per dose). That's a $4.5 per dose gross profit without factoring in marketing and shipping costs which may be substantial for a -70 degree Celsius stable vaccine.

Pretty sure the military is taking care of all shipping of the doses. Marketing will also be done by all health agencies. The extra cost will be for the cold storage, which I’m sure the government will cover.

They’ll be making billions when all is said and done if their vaccine is approved. They’ll be selling much more than 100,000,000 doses.

My understanding is that the US Gov has 100 000 000 doses ready to roll... so more to come. But then there is also Moderna's vaccine as well. That said, I think the vaccines have been priced in my now

There will be many more contracts signed after the vaccine is approved though so I don’t see how the full cost could be priced in.
