Basically I just went all in reckless in warrants and the market got hot. I’ve been looking for warrants in SPACs that are closer to net asset value or jump in as soon as a rumour hits. I haven’t quit my job, don’t plan too as I work for a start up where our provincial healthcare is interested in acquiring. So theirs potential I walk away with a bigger bag of cash here. To be completely honest I got a little queasy reading your trade list. This reads more like gambling. Money made gambling will almost always be lost gambling. Been there done that. Seen it all too many times in too many different people. The story always ends the same way. You don't see many fortunes made gambling unless of course you're running the casino. Curious what percentage gain did this six fig month represent in relation to your equity at the start of the month? Just trying to get a handle on the volatility and degree of risk taking here. If it was on a +500K account then no biggie. If it was on an account smaller than 100K that's another story. If that's too personal a question, feel free to take a pass. 24 minutes ago, HI5 said: I really appreciate it and I definitely need to scale back and stick to a strategy before I do something incredibly stupid. Thanks again! Sounds like you know what needs to be done. Trading is 25% market knowledge and 75% psychology (your own psychology). So my question is why were you in your own words behaving in a 'reckless' manner? What were you trying to prove and to whom? No game plan will be sufficient if you can get reckless and cannot implement it. You cannot hope to predict what other people (the market) will do in any given situation if you don't know what you're going to do in any given situation. Compare the market to a hockey game. Hockey has rules. It's a 60 minute game. Divided into 3, 20 minute periods. If tied after that there's 5 minutes of 3 on 3 OT. Then a shootout. There's rules governing everything. A laundry list of infractions for which you'll be penalized. So on and so forth. Now compare that to the market. There are virtually no rules. You can buy whatever you want, whenever you want, in whatever quantity you want. You can hold whatever you buy as long as you wish. Provided you can remain solvent. There's no penalties apart from losing money. There's really no rules governing what you can do or your conduct. Apart from massive malfeasance such as insider trading. Think of all the preparation that goes into creating a game plan for a hockey game. And that's for a game that has stringent rules. If you play a game that has no rules with no game plan, you are dead meat. Plain and simple. Travis Green doesn't show up for a game against the Ducks without having watched game film. Or practicing to counteract what they do best. Or line matching. If he did it would get ugly real fast. When playing a game that has virtually no rules you better have a solid game plan. Or in other words, know what you're going to do. And of course be able to do it. 1 1 3

When your trade is showing you a profit. Could be any amount. This advice applies to short term trades not investments.
I.Am.Ironman
@nuckin_futz are you returning to equity market as a swing trader or investor? A bit of both? What's your plan? I'm still working on my ideal split. I'm aiming for 80% long term investments, 20% in higher risk higher reward plays (SPACs, emerging tech). Plan going in is to swing trade (mostly long side) whatever looks juicy. In addition to shorting small/mid cap trash. Always subject to change though. I find short term traders make so-so investors. It's just a wholly different mindset. And investors make terrible traders. I know some guys who are incredible traders. You should see the dog sh** in their long term portfolios. It's kind of funny. Depending on your age and long term goals your allocation sounds fine.
HI5
@nuckin_futz I’m going to have to give a more detailed response later. I didn’t care if I lost my initial investment to be honest, mindmed was a gamble play for me to begin with. It just started to accumulate fast with these SPAC plays, but prior to that I had a simple strategy of accumulating index funds and just exiting at my 20% of large cap companies. I’m in the low to mid 100’s for cash value, with the idea to start moving profits over into blue chip plays I won’t need to follow as closely.

Dick Long
Funny not really seeing much on here about psychedelics. I am on a couple heaters in Compass Pathways and Mind Medicine. Psychedelics are a roaring sector if you like the high risk. Science is starting to prove that mushrooms and lsd may be the best way to treat mental health issues and drug addiction. I think this is a bandwagon worth jumping on.

They are going to go mainstream to treat depression, PTSD etc. Psycilicibin (sp?) has already helped so many, the research supports it and society is slowly becoming more open minded. If they switched places for a month Ari would get bored and Buffet would probably have an aneurysm.
