I have a feeling that quality undervalued stocks will start to go up.

BTW there are only a handful of those in this overpriced market.

I can see lot of bag holders chasing rockets like AI, PLTR, APPS etc.

Most of the 'value' stocks are oil companies, which carry their own risks as a LTI. Any other value stocks you're eyeing?

I'm not in AI or APPS, but I've been in PLTR since 9.09, my plan is to hold for long term. I'll be monitoring closely though. There are a lot of $30 call options that are being held but on the flip side, some people are nervous about the share lock up expiration in February. Palantir's army contract was just renewed and they are releasing their upgraded Gotham platform (Titan). Further, I also see it as a good sign that PLTR was down less than the market as a whole, FANG, and its direct competitors (eg. Snowflake). I do expect some volatility over the next 6 weeks but I am overall bullish on PLTR over the long term as they continue to expand their commercial business.

Besides oil as you mentioned

CVS is very undervalued but frustrating to own.
T, IFF, KHC, McD, BSX are still relatively cheap and I have been in and out of those.

Big Japanese contract won, and demo day at the end of the month as well.

If anyone is curious, here are prices of the 30 stocks from the Dow that I divided by (A) net earnings for 2020 and (B) gross profits. I highlighted the five stocks that were earning/profiting the most while costing the least. Obviously doesn't mean a ton, but information is information.

Notes - quarter earnings and gross profits scaled to a billion (i.e., 147.06 actually equals 1,470,600,000) but the stock price was not adjusted, so the actual raw numbers highlighted mean nothing; they are only relevant when compared against each other. Stock price based on close on December 31 (not today).

Added NGA like Arigold did as well, they have an amazon contract.

Otherwise, just holding.

Yea I looked at STPK at lunch and It was down like 15% at the time, I was like "ouch thats hurting" then I grabbed some NGA like I was waiting for time all day to do it.

I got some money I'll need in roughly 3 years. Anyone got any short-term investment ideas? The only thing I can think of right now is a GIC.

Not expecting any magnificent returns by any means, but I just want something to put the money to work during the 3 years I can set it aside for. At the end of the day, if a 1-2% rate GIC is all I can find, I'll be fine with that, but I thought I'd might as well ask around to gather more ideas.

You could probably make more choosing a couple of canadian banks, some energy companies (both renewable and traditional) and some telecom companies. The dividends alone would at least double what you would get from a GIC

I’ll return your money in 3 years with 3% interest.

Anyone thoughts on $OPEN?

I'm not in it but love everything about it, people are tired of realtor fees. It will slowly take over the lower income markets, great future play.

My 2 cents.. Why not make 2-3 transactions over the next 3 years. Research a SPAC with a great management team, park your money till they find a partner and and sell just before merger. Rinse, repeat.

A few excellent teams that will forsure win.

Great if your time horizon is 5+ years

If you're looking for this thing to explode before that, I cant imagine that happening unless its based off of hype alone

Not using a realtor to sell a home might be scary for a lot of people. Until you heard someone else do it, you aren't likely to it. It's kind of like your first time staying at an airbnb. You might not be willing to try it unless you personally know others that have. Once you do though, you're sold.

Picked up some this morning with my TFSA increase. It's in my longer term account. Although up 6% today is fine by me :)

And picked up some FUBO, up 23% :)

Money talks.... and it's sad to see many organizations/businesses on their knees to fellate for loads of RMB.
