-Vintage Canuck- Posted September 17, 2015 Share Posted September 17, 2015 Devils sign veteran winger Lee Stempniak to PTO: NEWARK — Their goal may be to get younger and faster, but the Devils Wednesday invited 32-year-old right winger Lee Stempniak to training camp on a PTO. Stempniak, who has played 708 career NHL games for the St.Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, Phoenix Coyotes, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, Rangers and Winnipeg Jets, is 5-11, 196 pounds. Stempniak, a West Seneca, N.Y., native, has scored 369 points (165 goals, 204 assists) in 10 NHL seasons since playing for Dartmouth. He has 253 penalty minutes. In 28 career playoff games, Stempniak has 3-3-6. He scored a goal for Winnipeg in the 2015 playoffs. Last season he scored 28 points (15 goals, 13 assists) in 71 games split between the Rangers and Jets. He had 20 PIM.
