Down by the River
I remember reading an article about him as a kid and he was writing a children's book. Guy was trying to give back. Best wishes to his family.
Chalky
From all accounts in the media that I have heard, Todd Ewan was functioning quite well post hockey. I wouldn't presume to know anything about his mental state, obviously there was something going with him to resort to suicide. Post career suicide is becoming too prevalent in the game. I will say this though. If the mental health issues are indeed brain trauma related PTSD or other brain injury related disorders, the suicides will become more prevalent in all players post hockey given the technology of helmets not keeping pace with the shoulder and elbow pads and the speed and size of the players. If there is a correlation between brain trauma and suicide, this gets worse before it gets better. There have been a lot of concussions in the last number of years. RIP Todd Ewan.
