We are so lucky to have him guys. I don't know who are the clowns that suggested trading them.

in sports history any leauge, anywhere in the world, there has never been a dominating set of twin brothers as good as the Sedins.

We are so lucky and when they retire it's going to be a sad day. these guys deserve a stanley cup. screw you Bettman.

So pleased to have had the class and humility that they show both on the ice and off. They play the game the right way and have never crossed the line. On the ice, there is little doubt about how dynamic they've been. They should not ever for one second be traded, unless they ask for it for the chance to chase a cup. But, in all actuality I pray that never occurs. While I was a Kesler fan first due to his emotional style of play I have grown to appreciate the consistency and the cerebral nature that they both play with. Smooth, easy going silk like movement and the ability to make teammates ultimately better. Happy Birthday Henrik and Daniel!

So well said, Cerebral. Excellent post.

Makes me think of recent stories that have circulated about less than exemplary behaviour by some players as police, drugs and other matters are involved.

To have two brothers who've both been great family men and shining examples of what it means to be role models is something special. They have never wavered...even as young men, nothing but class. They are humble and shun the spotlight that some others often claw for.

In a day and age when kids are bombarded with images and stories of what not to do, isn't it nice to have these two leading the way here? Laying low, just quietly going about their business and doing good things. It's refreshing because sometimes money and fame make people go awry ...they're steadfast and give us so many reasons to be proud of them.

In having had the great experience of being down at ice level for games in the past, some simple but constant gestures may not be noticed. The fact that every single game they dig out pucks in the corner to toss over the glass on their sticks to starstruck kids on the other side - those little things truly matter. To see a kid's face light up because this superstar just took time to acknowledge them. Without fail, every warm up. This sticks with kids and is huge.

The Sedins keep it honest and real.

Their contracts still good for 3 more years right? Hope they stick around for that long and then I'd be happy with whatever decision they make after that (retire, go to a cup contender team, go back to Sweden to play there, etc)

Always love being chirped by other teams fans who call them the 'Sisters'

For players who are labelled as 'soft' they sure do have minimal injuries for having played in the Western Conference their entire careers, playing a puck possession game and mucking it up in the corners with some of the leagues best Defenseman.

Been an absolute pleasure watching these 2 in Canucks sweaters.

There still gonna be producing 70 point seasons even when they're 40! Happy Birthday to them! :towel::canucks:

Yes they are and they will (hopefully) be on the 2nd line then. The youngster we have now will be the 1st line and then we'll have a good run at the cup for them! Happy Birthday to them.

I went to their first game in North America, a preseason game at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Oowee have they gotten better since then because their first impression didn't exactly live up to Burke's "twin Forsberg" hype job at the time.

"Twin Forsberg's" is pretty tough to live up to for any rookie. Expectations always seem too high for young players entering the league. They were basically kids among giants at the time.

Pretty happy to enjoy the Sedins for at least another season.

Classy Brothers
