Hobble
Really really hope we see humans land on Mars in my lifetime. I'm in my mid twenties, so barring any huge world wars, it will likely happen.
Mr. Ambien
I sure hope so, i can't wait to destroy Mars like the killer job were doing here. Only humans could think they can actually destroy a planet rather than their own habitability. Can't wait for the enviro-drama to be taken to Mars. Ghostsof1915
It would be an amazing irony if a reverse War of The Worlds happened. Humans start to colonize Mars. Then some Martian microbe kills off all the colonists.

PhillipBlunt
Very likely they will eventually find life, as there are organisms that can survive in all kinds of conditions. They have found life, and kept that to themselves. Within the crater of Olympus Mons live creatures of monstrous proportions.

Gurn
Elon Musk gets people there first and claims planet for his kids and grandkids. Sets himself up as King and being a very smart man this system of government works till his death, riots breakout and the fragile environment is damaged to the point of marhuman destruction. Looks like I caught the forest just fine with the "enviro-drama" part. I'll let you handle the semantics.
aGENT
Looks like I caught the forest just fine with the "enviro-drama" part. I'll let you handle the semantics. People have a right to be concerned and 'dramatic' about it. Humanity is doing a LOT of metaphorical 'crapping where it eats' right now. The 'save the planet' line may not be entirely accurate (the planet isn't going anywhere, hence semantics) but the damage we're doing to our (and countless other species that we cooperatively rely on) habitat is and should be, cause for very much alarm and 'drama'. That you choose to focus on the semantics of it rather the actual problem is little surprise though. Why throw away an opportunity belittle people, right?
