Piggy Bank
Brandon Sutter... you've got to go to wing. Jared McCann... your ready, and your a moafing 3C. -'he can't sustain it all year long..' LOL --if horvat could, no reason he cannot. ---infact, horvat got better as the year went along. Linden Vey... I like you, i nor you mean no harm. BUT, you don't fit. Ben Hutton... Your killer. Your on the team, for now. -he deserves a spot. --he may not last as we have not had a rookie d-man last in a long time, but worth a try Frank Corrado... I hope you aren't picked up off the waiver wire. Jake Virtanen... Work you a$$ off this year in the W man.... Jannik Hansen... You bring good value.. when your sent to another team! JK we just don't need you. thejazz97
Hansen > Higgins imo. But overall, pretty good. Why is Weber a goalie?

Phil_314
I disagree with your assessment of Sutter and Hansen. The rest are reasonable. Firstly, Trader Jim got Sutter for his 200-foot game and ability to battle with the big Pacific Division centers. Now Bo and Jared have looked good but I'd like to keep the vet around to handle those draws. Truth be told, there's always a chance that McCann isn't ready for such a responsibility when it counts, so it'd be good to let him shadow Brandon. Hansen also has speed, passing and decent all-round ability and I think he would work well with Sutter who's a good shooter. Here's how I'd like to see the lines (if we decide to send Jake down to work on his offensive stats in the minors): 22 - 33 - 14 (don't fix what's not broken) 47 - 53 - 17 (the kids have chemistry while Radim can also contribute. In the future I'd put them with 77) 51 - 21 - 36 (51 and 36 have speed, shot and passing for the wing while 21 snipes; if they gel it'd be a solid line) 9 - 24 - 15 (24's earned his spot with the other two) Trade 7, don't have him as the 13th forward or he'd ask to get moved again. Deal him with 20 and either 5 or 44, and put 26 with the D-man who's left. 23 - 8 2 - (does Hutton play right-side?) 5 -

ForsbergTheGreat
Why risk losing Corrado to waivers when you don’t need to? Send Hutton down to start camp, Injuries will happen. Hutton will get good ice time and develop even more. Bring Hutton back up when Hamhuis is traded. By the end of the year you have both Corrado and Hutton in your line up and didn’t just lose one for nothing on waivers. We get rid of Hansen when our RW depth is shallow? Our RW depth will be even shallower when we move Vbrata and Burrows in 2 years. Why force Higgins to play on his off wing? Higgins is a LW. Hansen is a better 3rd line RW. Why dump Vey? He is versatile and can move up and down the line up as a depth player. He also can fill in on right wing. Overall none of these moves need to be done. Honestly you are just dumping players for zero return to force your opening night lineup. It’s a long season, the roster we ice on Wednesday is going to be vastly different than the roster we ice come April. We have 82 games to play things out and not force any moves. It’s not going to harm any prospect (Hutton or Gaunce) to go back to the AHL, get 30-50 games playing key minutes, until an injury or player is moved. Camp has shown Mgmt that these players a knocking at the door, it’s now giving Mgmt the opportunity to look around the league and see what the market looks like for moving a couple of player. This part takes some time in order to get full value for your assets. There is no benefit in forcing an opening night roster. There’s more at stake than the first couple months of the 2015 season.
