Bombastik der Teutone
http://flyers.nhl.com/club/m_news.htm?id=781257 Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced that the club intends to place defenseman Andrew MacDonald on waivers at noon today. The 29-year-old defenseman is in his third season with the Flyers and recorded one assist in three preseason games. He posted 12 points (2g-10a) in 58 games for the Flyers in 2014-15. MacDonald signed a multi-year contract extension with the Flyers on Apr. 15, 2014. He was originally acquired by the Flyers from the New York Islanders on March 4. 2014 in exchange for forward Matt Mangene, a third-round pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, and a second-round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Master Mind
He was good with the Isles, but never as good with Philly. Goes from multi-year extension to waivers in just over a year.

Baka
Terrible contract and coming off a bad season that was pestered with injuries. But overall not a bad player and one of the best shot blockers in the NHL. Led the NHL in blocked shots the season before last season and was 4th overall the season before that. HC20.0
Hero to Zero in the span of a year. If it wasn't for that contract, I'd take a chance on him.
hatedkid666
Flyers ruined him with that contract. Classic flyers giving out bad contracts.

Baka
good solid d-man but like others have said bad contract ruined this player when will the Flyers stop signing this horrible contracts stop throwing money at these free agents that i bet the league would of paid half for these players They already did. That was the Holmgren era. He took over when the Flyers had the worst record in the NHL but they didn't want to rebuild so they took short cuts. To his credit in 1 off-season the Flyers went from last place to losing in the ECF and then lost in 6 games in the Stanley Cup Finals so he gave them a chance to win but the team was built on sand so to speak and those shortcuts quickly caught up to them and derailed them. Hextall has been cleaning up Holmgren's mess and has had the opposite mentality where he has been patient and has avoided big contracts outside of Voracek's deal which tbh he had to resign him. He has done a good job though dumping Pronger and Grossmann's contracts. Getting a 1st + for Coburn. 2 2nd round picks for Timonen after his bloodclots. As bad as Umberger is it was to dump Hartnell's contract. Now continuing to look to dump MacDonald and Schenn and Lecavalier.
Coconuts
Damn, that contract's gonna sink him. Hero with the Islanders, zero with the Flyers. But at least he got paid.
Dion Phaneuf
This is what happens when you pay an average defensemen big money to simply block shots. Easily an NHLer if he was on a manageable contract.
