Kevin Biestra
Who did we have in 89? Paul Reinhart, actually. And Doug Lidster. Best two point-getting defensemen we've ever had, at the same time.
homersexual
When Benning was asking about Lucic, why didn't he ask about Dougie Hamilton.
Kevin Biestra
When Benning was asking about Lucic, why didn't he ask about Dougie Hamilton. Yeah, like when Boston gave away Joe Thornton and Tyler Seguin, seems like whoever asked first was getting a steal.
Mathew Barzal
I'd target Parayko. We'd have to part with picks to get him though.

Edlerberry
It's been time since 1990. But a top defenseman is a coveted piece, finding one is hard. i think you forgot about the greatest patrolman to walk the thin blue line... and this... how could you
PhillipBlunt
i think you forgot about the greatest patrolman to walk the thin blue line... and this... how could youOhlund and Lumme were better overall defensmen. Jovanovski was great but lacked in his own end.
PhillipBlunt
Blues have a pretty deep D core I feel like they'd be ok with parting with one of their stud Dmen for some offensive support. Maybe we can make a deal for Bouwmeester.Rather go for Pietroangelo than that charmin d man.
Tragoedia
Oh yes. Why don't we just go to the top defensemen store to just pick one up. I wonder why no one has thought of this!
87Crosby
Rather go for Pietroangelo than that charmin d man. Yeah I would too. To bad we can't afford either.

JamesB
Ok!!! Cracknell for Shea Weber. I like Cracknell but I am willing to go with it. But if we do that what will happen to the "let's pick up a stud D-man" threads?

Burnsey
When was the last time a team traded a top defenceman? Seriously, the last one I can think of on the top of my head was Pronger and he wanted out himself. Top defenceman aren't traded easily unless the particular team is lucky enough to have a few top D-men. If we want that top D-man we have to draft them and be patient and wait for them to fully develop...it sucks but that's the way it's done these days. Frazzy Desjardins
The way hutton is playing already in his first season.... he could be that stud dman. He's no Chara or Weber in terms of size but that isn't everything. Mind over matter, this is hockey not the heavyweight division in the ufc... Bissurnette
bouwm is a 32 yr old leftie. NO he's not a difference maker. Rather re sign hamhuis. Really? cuz I'd rather have Bouwmeester, much better skater and Hamhuis has looked like he could use a change in scenery for 2 years now. Yeah. I used the opportunity to make responses with gifs and vids. Got me +1's Gotcha. Good thinking. Rather go for Pietroangelo than that charmin d man. haha me too I was just trying to be reasonable about who they would be willing to part with. Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk probably won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
