Abbotsford reporter attacked filming homeless camp

Hope he presses charges. I don't care what her situation is. Why should anyone help her if she's gonna act like a complete cow and assault someone when they've done nothing against the law.

Edit: "The woman, in her late 30s, was arrested, and charges are expected." Good. Earned herself a rap sheet by being an idiot who cites incorrect laws and then breaks the one that actually exist.

Glad that cow was arrested, I guess she's not homeless anymore, will have a nice cozy 6 X 8 cell to call home hopefully.

Seriously, people like that give homeless people a bad rap, not only is she a useless troglodyte to society, she's harmful to her homeless brethren in making people more hostile towards them with antics like this. Waste of oxygen.

I hate these kinds of people.

You'd expect her to be in some sort of assistance since she is homeless after all and inevitably did something in her past that put her into this situation today. You don't attack someone and beg for money elsewhere that's wrong as it is.

Hope she gets charged.

"against the law to take our picture"

No..no it isn't

It is against the law to sell or make money off of any film, video or cinemegraph of anyone with a recognizable feature showing 30% or more of their face.  Without express written consent or release in canada.

Being in a public place does not mean you're free to attack a person with a camera.  if you're recorded doing something illegal and don't want it shown or seen than maybe don't do illegal things.  Otherwise you're just a dipshart with a can of mace and no known address.

This one had a few screws loose...wondering if Torts will hire her as an assistant in Columbus for their first game against Calgary

Skank,     F the Homeless.

Yup.  People-dozers for the lot of 'em.  Soylent Green time.

Abbotsford's homeless camp problem has been going on for quite awhile.  They just move them from place to place.  One time they spread chicken poop around to get people to move.  It's embarrassing and there appears to be no end to it.

Sometimes people are just lazy and irresponsible

An urban camp on the side of the road is there to garner attention from government or media.  Hey bish, you want to be left alone? don't camp on the side of the friggin' road.  Me thinks she has some anger issues among others.  It's easy enough to find a nice private place to squat if that is your goal.  The goal of these camps is to draw attention...from cameras and such.  She hurt the cause with that.

Get

a

job.

Potential problems:

1. Can't read.  So cannot read want ads or fill out application.  Solution is social programming who provides basic ed.

2. No phone number or home address.  So cannot be contacted by employers.  Solution again is social programming who provides contact numbers.

3. No job skills or training.  No relationship skills.  So not hire-able.  Solution again is social programming.

4. Mental health, severe depression or addiction issues.  So is not able to function in work environment.  Solution is social health and recovery.

5. No clean clothes, no shower.  So cannot be presentable for job interview.  Solution is social programs.  Ultimately you'd want social housing for them.

Yes, religious missions do provide help, but obviously not enough, as we have seen homeless camps be maintained in Abby, Maple Ridge, etc.

The 'get a jerb' attitude isn't so much to help them though imho.  It's to excuse away the lack of social services available to those who truly need them.

Labeling them all as lazy good for nothings is even lazier than the homeless themselves.
