OT, but as far as the benefits of advanced virtual reality porn go, it's the sexually-starved single males out there that turn into gun-toting maniacs that we should be looking at.  Every one of those school shooters is one of these loner types that couldn't get a girlfriend if they tried, likely with conservative dickweed parents who think homeschooling is a great idea.  So either get rid of the guns, get these guys girlfriends, or amp up the distraction.  This is just theoretical though.  No guarantee that virtual gratification will solve this crisis, nor get these males normalized.
