DownUndaCanuck
Horvat is being called on to shutdown top teams scorers and he's simply not that good yet. WD has him out there trying to shut down Benn and Seguin - good bloody luck.People forget that Horvat is still a kid, we should be sheltering him a little bit instead of throwing him out there like that. If anything, use Sutter as our shutdown center over Horvat. It could pay off in that Horvat learns to play against real scorers, but right now it's got to be destroying his confidence, being scored on time and time again. The kid isn't ready for those responsibilities, we should just be using him as a tertiary scorer/3rd line center, but instead WD is pushing him. It'll be interesting to see which way Horvat responds, he's got the character to step up to the plate but these are some world-class scorers he's going up against and he's clearly not ready for that sort of responsibility. The Bookie
At least Bieksa is gone, positives.Yep. And Bieksa was also older, and his biggest issue was trying too little ("Casual Kevin").LS is not only younger, but his biggest issue is trying to do too much, which will almost inevitably iron out of his game as he matures. Horvat does have the character and he will learn but I agree that RGW needs to use him more like he did last year and ease him into playing a shutdown role, Sutter is perfect for that. Try and get some offense going to Bo by easing him of his defensive responsibilities, you can see he's got the work eithic, man is he busting his ass out there. jdatb
You should be ashamed of yourself for even remotely comparing Luca "Worst in NHL" Sbisa to Bo Horvat.

luckylager
IIRC Horvat's been on the ice for 3 ot goals, that'll hurt the +/- stat, not that it means much to begin with. Last night I saw Horvat with 2 dman in OT, how is that going to work? Well, it was a D zone faceoff.... OP-Horvat will get his game back, he's seeing much harder minutes this year and it'll take some learning/adjusting to.

Zuongo
CDC loves Horvat, He could go pointless and -46 on the season and no one would say a word. Everybody will be busy ripping on Sven or Sbisa
