Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors weren't playing, game wouldn't have been close if they were. Kobe more or less had free reign to do whatever he wanted with no help defense or lane protection from the Jazz. Most impressive performance of the night was Boston's comeback.

73 wins by far, Kobe's last game should've been years ago. His past 3 seasons combined have been one of the worst falls from grace for a "major" superstar ever.

Yea what a horrible way to go out.

Not hating, tonight was the most relevant the Lakers have been in the past 4-5 years now. You must not watch a lot of basketball..."lel".

What? So the Jazz are going to guard Kobe with favours or gobert? If that happened I'm pretty sure Kobe would have put up more than 60 pal

Gobert and Favors are one of the best defensive frontcourts in the NBA, Kobe would not have continually been able to go inside  and draw fouls if they were in the line-up so no he would not have put up more than 60. In fact he probably would've finished with 30 or so which is still impressive for a guy his age.

The NBA has approved 2.5-by-2.5-inch advertising patches that will debut on teams jerseys in time for the 2017-18 season.

The NHL has been hesitant to be the first of the big four sports leagues to introduce jersey ads, even though interest is there, and the NBA opening the door could be a sign of things to come.

The patches will be similar to the ones worn in the AHL.
