Canada needs to make more babies.  We import people to keep our economy moving.  We are a consumer economy.  Our population needs to go up, and exponentially, or we are toast economically

That's true, but why give preference to one group of countries over another. We're better off bringing immigrants in based on the roles we need filled.

I agree....and further to the point of making sure all employment and benefits of citizenship are allocated to Canadians first.

 

ftr I have friends here from other commonwealth countries and have no issue with that.  They did what they had to do.

I would support a bridge type deal within these 4 countries. I have been looking into relocating to NZ or Aus for a while now.

What's interesting to me is the fact that the US is not in this. This goes to show you how close off they are. An immigration lawyer tells me that they don't really accept immigrants any more. You either have to get employer sponsorship or marriage to get to live in the US.
