Yes that was a mistake he made but how about the lack of back check or even the rush to the bench by hank and Danny? Don't me wrong, I'll protect them 9 out of 10 times... Hell make that 99 put of 100 times, but they should also take some blame for that. That being said, they literally are the most prolific duo in the history of sports and for each mistake, they make up for it 10fold. But further to that... That's really singling out one mistake by Weber. The pp as a whole has been giving up shorthanded chances far too much. Miller and even marky have made some massive stops shorthanded which all could have ended up in the back of the net, which weren't caused by Weber. He just pulled the short straw. The Devils game, in all seriousness we could have let in 3 shorthanded goals had it not been for Miller. Weber like all nhl dman, makes mistakes but he does make up for them in other ways. That said... Do I think he's top 4? No. Do I think he's a solid bottom pairing guy that can be utilized on the pp? Definitely. Really don't agree with you that he's a #8 based on what I've seen. Even guys like Keith, doughty, Shea Weber, Karlsson, Subban, all make huge mistakes from time to time. You can't single out certain mistakes. Instead, Montreal scored a short handed goal and took control of the game. I'm sure giving the Canucks a powerplay at that point was part of the ref's nefarious plan to screw the Canucks, , and Vancouver played right in to it. Right? AV was not our problem it was the same vets & NO young blood around...We drafted so poorly & traded our other draft picks fpr playoff help. AV had no youth to inject at all.
