Buff to Van for Vrbata package

WWE2015

I want Buff in Vancouver, he is the type of dman we could use right now- physical right hand shot who can play on the pp with the Sedins. Since we can't help with the jets goaltending situation the next best thing would be to give a top 6 scoring winger + something. Obviously this trade would only happen if the Jets aren't in contention come trade deadline. My proposals would be:

Vrbata + Sbisa + 2nd
Vrbata + Baertschi/ Gaunce + 2nd
Vrbata + 1st (becomes a 2nd and 4th if Buff does not resign)

Jets fans what do you think, which package would be most appealing to make something work off of?

Terrible. No way Chevy looks at any of those. There were rumours that Philly inquired about Buff, and the asking price included both Schenn's.

Vrbata is not a player the Jets need. And if they trade for help up front, they can do a hell of a lot better than Vrbata. If, for instance, the Jackets were to move Johansen, Winnipeg could send Buff plus a FEW of their high end prospects for him. They wouldn't trade Buff for, what looks like, the worst package that could be sent their way.

C'mon now...

Why does Philly aquire a rental D man? They have to jump 4 teams incl Tampa just to get a wild card in the crapty east. That makes less sense than even this proposal.

Only reason that convo takes place is the Flyers get a pass to talk to his agent and let him know what they will pay in the off season.

Few reasons it was being rumoured.

1. Both Schenn's have been scratched this season, with Brayden being in the doghouse since training camp. And with the extension to Coutourier, people in Philly aren't sure they will extend Brayden.

2. If Winnipeg moves Buff prior to the deadline, which has been the popular train of thought throughout Winnipeg since last year, then he will be moved out East to a team that needs veteran defense.

3. It's still early in the season. Teams can still make the playoffs, just ask Ottawa and Minnesota.

That remains popular for Winnipeg reasons not Philly.

That the Flyers may have reason to move the Schenn's has little in common with the fact they would be dumb to expend those assets on a rental.

What dyu reckon Winnipeg would / should be after? Are the Jets happy with Enstrom, Pardy, Chiarot down the lefts side? Happy to go to the play off's with Heller, Hutch and Pav??  I see those as more important targets than Brayden Schenn (isn't Burmi just as good?).

The Jets are not happy with Enstrom at all. The problem is he has a NMC, so he's not going anywhere. They are happy with Chiarot though, and Pardy is just there for this year, waiting for Morrissey and Poolman to eventually take over the bottom two spots.

They won't do anything with their goalies. Chevy is patient and will wait out Pavs contract to expire, at which point they will hopefully run with Hellebuyck.

Burmistrov is completely useless, and will get moved down the road. But the Jets do need help up front, more so than on defense.

What's up with people making new accounts to make crappy proposals? Come on OP... You probably know in the back of your mind that these are totally unrealistic? That's why you made this other account just to make your sh!tty proposal so that you wouldn't be flamed on your real account.

And why are you asking "Jets fans what do you think," with a comma. Use a damn question mark. And we're not Jets fans you dumb ass. Go make this crappy proposal in the Jets forum.

Please never return here. Okay? Thanks! Bye.

This is a terrible package lol.

I also get the feeling that Ladd will be leaving rather than Byfuglien, as Buff is highly unique and better at what he does than Ladd.

If a team is trading a pending UFA, they don't want other lesser ones in return.

Don't the Jets have enough young assets they could expend some, without too much damage, to go on a run this year.  If they have Poolman, they could give up Kostalek(a great prospect IMO) and a pic, say a 2knd for example? In my world a Hamhuis is a great fit for the Jets. A solid two way guy considering they have puck movers, speed, shooting and size elsewhere on D and he fits in their line up. This does not have to be a Canuck proposal. But the next best (better in some regards, but smaller and Jets have his skills elsewhere) left handed D on a non play off team is Russell in Calgary.

Before the heavy game of Ladd, Little and Wheeler starts to run a bit softer or get 30 plus year old injuries. They make the Jets perfect for the play off's up front. I also believe the Jets should make a run before they give up Buff.

Unless if the Jets are not in playoff contention at all AND are desperate to get Buff's contract off their hands, I don't see why Winnipeg would want Vrbata over Buff come deadline.

Even if both of the above factors are happening, why would they want Vrbata when they could potentially trade Buff for a young player/prospect?

EDIT: I suppose if Vrbata was thrown in for cap purposeswhile we trade a prospect/pick or combination it might work, but Benning's clearly stated he doesn't want to trade our prospects.

So you did copy this from HF boards. You even copied the title! Are you seriously not capable of coming up with your own proposal? This proposal was already beaten down in HF boards and you still copied the exact thing and pasted it on CDC. What kind of monster are you?

Not the first time he done it.
