smithers joe Posted December 10, 2015 Share Posted December 10, 2015 anyone else ever see eddie feigner pitch a softball game?...feigner and his four man team, took on all comers.... his pitching record was 9,743 victories, 141,517 strikeouts, 930 no hitters and 238 perfect games... in a celebrity charity softball game in 1967, he struck out,willie mays, willie mccovey, brooks robinson, roberto clemente,maury wills and harmon killebrew, all in a row...his team consisted of a catcher, first baseman, short stop and himself... he is a member of the baseball reliquary...."shrine of the eternals"...he use to strike batters out, pitching from second base... johngould21 Posted December 10, 2015 Share Posted December 10, 2015 I can't think of the group, but we played one of these traveling softball teams in the early 70's in my small home town. Joe...I did and it was awesome!! I was a young kid when he came to Steveston and my family went as an outing in the 70's. My Dad was really into it and my brother would eventually become a fairly successful local pitcher (windmill style...had a huge callous on his thigh from pitching so much/long).
