Sean Monahan
I wasn't sure if this was worthy of a new thread or should have been posted in his waiver thread, but here goes. Sportsnet is reporting that Semin has agreed to a deal with Magnitogorsk of the KHL, no details have been disclosed to my knowledge. Quote The Montreal Canadiens will soon be free of forward Alexander Semin, who is expected to sign with Metallurg Magnitogorsk Thursday, according to Russian news outlet Sovetsky Sport and TVA. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/alexander-semin-agreed-to-terms-khl-magnitogorsk-metallurg-montreal-candiens-waivers/

HC20.0
All the talent in the world, but he suffers from the Thomas Vanek syndrome. Aka elite player with no work ethic or heart. I don't think I've ever seen a player mail it in more then Semin. Such a shame, all that skill wasted because of his pay cheque. Good luck in Russia. Ilya Mikheyev
LOL doesn't Mike Keenan coach that team? Sure they'll have a great relationship. They have some good players though..Woltek Wolski, Sergey Mozyakin, Jan Kovar.
terrible.dee
Man he is going to get such a big payday! I predict they will pay him sooooo much that they will have to start a new bank, just for him... The Semin Bank..... Defecting to the KHL means the Habs don't have to eat his contract right? Gosh, what a sticky situation
