Canada Hockey Place
Trade 1 ANA: Higgins VAN: Santorelli ANA may want to try Higgins with Kesler. Higgins has 1 yr/$2.5m remaining. Santorelli, $.875/UFA, can fill in for Sutter, then can move to RW after Sutter returns. Trade 2 MTL: Prust, Jensen VAN: Markov or PHI: Prust, Jensen VAN: Streit Markov has 1 yr remaining on contract with a cap hit of $5.75m. Streit has 1yr/$5.250m remaining. Lose a prospect in Jensen in return for stability on PP1 or PP2. Cap hit of Higgins + Prust = $5.0m.

Fanuck
Only worthwhile assets pursuing from Philly would be Provorov, Morin, Sanheim, or Gostisbehere. One guess what they all have in common?

Master Mind
First trade is possible if Ducks are looking for a small shakeup, but as a budget team it doesn't make sense for them. No way that lands Markov, even if he only has 1 year left on his contract. Streit's injured and will miss significant time. No help to us now. I would rather the Canucks grab defensemen with size and grit to their game vs. an aging soft perimeter player like Streit, or an aging, injury prone Markov. Montreal will not trade Markov and santorelli Benning does not want on this team or he would have stayed Streit is 38 and not a D we would be looking at!! qwijibo
So Montreal trades a top pairing defenceman for a 4th line plug and a nothing prospect when they're a cup contender? Seems legit

One guess what they all have in common? Not sure how many games Virtanen and Sanheim got together but I'd love Sanheim on this team. Morin's a bit hit-and-miss, looks like they love Gostisbehere right now and Provorov at such a high pick so soon won't be moved. Sanheim makes sense to Vancouver. Give them an offensive prospect in return, someone like Shink, Gaunce or Jensen + 2nd/3rd should do it. One unproven good junior player for a good AHL player is definately fair.
