Guns N' Roses Reunion : Confirmed

Western Red

Recommended Posts

Well, a day after we lost Lemmy, there seems to be a fateful twist in the Rock n' Roll world. Guns N' Roses are confirmed for Coachella 2016 and a rumored summer tour in 26 North American cities brings some nostalgic dreams back to light. Ticket prices are rumored to be minimum $200.

I'll add more links if this thread generates interest.

Axl, Duff and Slash confirmed.

Yeah - we'll see I guess.

" A report emerged last month indicating that the GUNS N' ROSES lineup for the reunion trek may not be exactly what fans had in mind. According to the report, the tour will feature founding members Rose , Slash and Duff McKagan on bass — but that's all for the original roster.

lol Coachella always offers huge money for these reunion shows. they offered The Smiths a 100% vegetarian event and something like 7 million for their reunion. for one set!! of course they declined. I think they offered Oasis big money for a reunion, too.

apparently LCD Soundsystem is also reuniting for this festival, too.

anyway, it would be cool for fans to see... but Axl looked and sounded really, really bad at those more recent shows he played under the Guns n Roses banner a few years ago.

Thanks for that Heretic, It'd be nice to have Sorum, Izzy and Dizzy but who knows where those guys are.

Also, the going joke in Van will be.... "Axl still has to show"

If nothing else, it made me dust off the Appetite CD and have a good night tonight lol

Dizzy will be there; he's never left.

I saw them here (Vancouver) in March of 93 on their use your illusions tour. They were good but apparently time hasnt been kind to Axl. I dont need to see them again.

Ticket prices will be insane because they can be. I think Pearl Jam was the last band to actually try to keep ticket prices down so the kids could afford tickets.

most concerts at the Orpheum, Commodore, etc. are only $15-40, in my experience. even the lavishly produced Nick Cave show I saw last year was only $60 for perfect seats

kids can afford tickets to shows they want to see. but because there is literally zero youth interest in hair metal in 2015, this is a show for middle aged men looking for a nostalgia trip, GnR can charge $200 for garbage seats because nostalgia is big business these days

not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but i do think its the main turn off with retirement tours. i saw a senior citizen Leonard Cohen for  a lot of money and it was probably my favourite concert i've been to. top 3, at least
