-Vintage Canuck-
The Panthers will play a preseason game at the United States Military Academy in West Point on Oct. 8th, 2016.
-Vintage Canuck-
The Panthers haven't completely abandoned the leaping Panther logo, as an updated version of it will still appear on their helmets. The logo may also appear on a third jersey in the future.
Jägermeister
I don't hate either the logo or the jersey by themselves, but I feel like they don't really mesh well together. I liked what they had before quite a bit more.
Dedalus
ya, it's funny that a lot of us think it looks like a soccer jersey i think it's that the logo now looks like a shield -- that's a very soccer-like motif/design
Philthy
All I can see when I look at this jersey is sponsorship ad's being thrown on it, It has a KHL/Euro league look to it as well. I do like it though its nice to see the cartoonish logo's aren't as preferred anymore, the sharpness is nice. I think the Johnny Canuck would look pretty solid on a shield template like the panthers. -Vintage Canuck-
HC Sochi took a shot at the Florida Panthers for the similarities in their logos. English is not their first language, but Sochi sent Florida their logo designer in exchange for some palm trees.

-Vintage Canuck-
Here are some other NHL logos in the style of the Panthers shield. The Sabres and the Capitals actually work extremely well in this style, even if it was only as a shoulder patch.
-Vintage Canuck-
Apparently the Panthers commissioned graphic artist Mike Higgins to do some work for them based on his DeviantArt page. They then changed their mind, and a couple of months later came out with a design that takes a great deal of inspiration from his work.
