Maniwaki Canuck
More defensive temptation on the waiver wire. One day JB will be too weak to resist.

Fanuck
Tempting with our injury troubles, but not too high in this guy. I'm sure that this post will be followed with dozens of "claim him and waive Weber" posts though.

babych
Don't really know much about this player but one would think that he would be an upgrade to our 5/6 position...
thejazz97
In all seriousness though, he's an LHD. I almost would have preferred Gormley or even Corrado for that matter.
King Heffy
Even on his off side, he's a massive upgrade over Weber.

bigbadcanucks
I was banging the acquire Kindl drum last summer, but the more I think about it, he's like a European version of Matt Bartkowski. And IMO, the Canucks don't need anymore Matt Bartkowskis. Plus, Kindl's got two more years at $2.4M AAV. Not worth it. I'd rather see the Canucks ride it out with Weber and Bartkowski for the rest of the season and cut their useless arses at the end of the season so that there's $3.25M AAV available this summer. Mackcanuck
$2.4M Cap hit for 1 more year after this one, and we have zero cap space Kindl has been a healthy scratch the past four games and in 16 of the past 22. He has appeared in 23 games and has two goals, three assists and a plus-1 rating. Kindl spent much of the past two seasons in former coach Mike Babcock's doghouse, scratched frequently. He got a fresh opportunity with Jeff Blashill but hasn't been able to capitalize on it. He has made too many mistakes and his compete level hasn't been good enough "He has made too many mistakes and his compete level hasn't been good enough " Sounds like he could fit into our bottom 6 quite nicely! Green Building
Detroit doesn't really have much choice here with Quincey coming back from injury. They might have tried to move him for a pick, but their salary cap might not be able to take on another player. At 28 he's probably as good as he's ever going to be, which is 6th D. Apple Juice
Got good size, decent mobility and plays a sound transitional game. I'd say take a stab at him but he's been a bit too inconsistent throughout his career and that's not something we need right now. Kindl was a pretty highly touted prospect a couple of years ago but I guess he fell out due to his poor play.
on the cycle
Keep a spot for Pedan.
Fateless
No reason to pursue him, we've got a couple defensive prospects that can fill the 5/6 D role already. Give them the spot. So instead of claim him and waive Weber. Just waive Weber.
Rush17
Whats with all the quality nhl prospects making it through waviers. If we didn't have so many D I would of jumped on Gormley and Kindl. I guess GM's are respecting the fact if they wanna use the waviers for this they gotta let players slide. Or the players dont meet the demands i donno. Fanuck
JB made the right choice passing on Rundblad. Just like Bowman, Holland knows talent when he sees it, and apparently Kindl isn't it. Another pass.
oldnews
He always seems to be hovering on the edge of their roster. Has decent/borderline underlying numbers, but that remaining year of term at a 2.5 cap hit is too problematic imo. Will be interesting to see who, if anyone. claims him. Edmonton has Brad Hunt on their bottom pairing...

I love that you referred to our D as a "bottom 6". You're not too far off base...
