There was a really nice piece lately about the positive benefit the Comets have had on Utica -- arrived when the town was not at its best economically. The city has embraced the team -- kind of a nice story. Utica sounds like a decent place to live.

The trend of putting a farm team in the home city is interesting. We already have a Jr. team in Vancouver, but it would be interesting to see whether a farm team (Kalamazoo?) could be put in BC, perhaps even the Lower Mainland. Maybe the interior. Maybe in one of the First Nations areas that needs infrastructure, roads etc. I don't know the economics of farm teams, but they can't be designed to make money, so why not have them do development/something for the province?
