Yeah because he's a former Canuck. lol. He's another Garrett in the making.
BLU3GR33NBL00D
Sports net is garbage now Miss the old sportsnet pacific crew And for Saturday nights I can only pray that strombolop is gone for next season
davydgoliath
I have fond memories of Hirsch going back to his junior days with the Kamloops Blazers. To have him now, as a former Canuck bringing some heart to our broadcasts is such a treat. His positivity is a welcome and unfortunately rare commodity in the Canucks world. Wedge-tailed Eagle
Maybe it's just me but whenever I listen to him I just find myself shaking my head at the stupidity he spews. It's great that he bashed pj stock but let's be honest Stock makes that pretty easy.

I really liked Taylor and Valky post-game. I really enjoy Hirshy pre-game and the intermissions; Valky is great in the intermissions as well. Raph
I just know my motivation to follow hockey on a regular basis has dropped a lot ever since Don Taylor and the Sportsnet Pacific crew left.

I do the same thing -- record the games and listen carefully to Hirsch. His analysis of goaltending is very helpful as well. I have learned a lot from listening to his comments. I like Valk as well, but Hirsch provides a lot more analysis.

They definitely had the market cornered on eastern bias, but at least TSN and Sportsnet semi-attempted to raise their game when in competition with each other and TSN has better hockey guys in Duff and McKenzie. Watching NHL games since SN took over is painful, especially since they mothballed the pacific branch.
