[Report] Roster size isn't the only reason Prust has to go.

As this article states, just reassigning Vey and Zalewski won't be quite enough to put the Canucks under cap when Sutter and Sedin return. So it looks like roster size isn't the only barrier to getting both centre's back. If that's accurate, it's probably pretty safe to assume that Prust will be gone before the Canucks play Nashville on Tuesday, when Sutter is expected to return.

Sloppy article. I hate how anybody and their dog can put up junk on a website and CDC calls it a report.

Yeah, I'm not totally convinced the claim about Sutter putting them over the cap is right.  It all depends how they've handled the replacement players for Sutter's, Sbisa's and Hamhuis's long-term injuries under the cap.  They may have accumulated some headroom while those guys were out.  This is somewhat technical stuff, and the article doesn't really go into the details.

No doubt lol. Hansen is probably the Canucks most versatile player. Can play any line, kills penalties, has speed, good defensively, scores goals, and the suggestion is trade him? Um... no. There's no return for Hansen that could provide everything he brings that another team would part with. Just because any team would take him doesn't mean Canucks should do it.

You have to give to get something, and Hansen is exactly the kind of player teams making a push like to add. If you can exchange him for some younger players with bigger upside and maybe a pick you do it.

Hansen is 29. People act like he's in his last couple seasons. We've still got a few years of solid play out of him. He's a pretty complete player. The time will come to trade him but he fills a hole a prospect can't.  Unless you're getting a McDavid back, you keep him.

Arguably Canucks most consistent player for years and not declining any time soon.

Definitely gotta get rid of him ASAP^_^

P.S. Hansen, if you read this, it was sarcasm. Please don't go.
