USA Politics/Election Thread: California Gov. Newsom Defeats Recall Referendum

More "leadership" from the Snowflake in Chief :

Quote

President Trump late Sunday lashed out at a group of news networks and newspapers over their coverage of his administration's response to the coronavirus outbreak, claiming that all he's seen is "hatred of me."

"I watch and listen to the Fake News, CNN, MSDNC, ABC, NBC, CBS, some of FOX (desperately & foolishly pleading to be politically correct), the [New York Times], & the [Washington Post], and all I see is hatred of me at any cost," Trump said on Twitter.

"Don't they understand that they are destroying themselves?" he asked.

It's funny, because he usually says that he "doesn't watch" these networks. (Doesn't read the newspapers goes without saying, because he doesn't read at all)

We know people will die from this flu. We have to accept this and work out ways of mitigating the losses.

Thanks for your response, though not an opinion of mine, just asking questions.

Is this what you think he means from that tweet? due to the affects that a collapsing economy could have?...mitigating financial loses too...

Sorry I was gone for awhile. One of my biggest fears is that the people lose confidence in their leaders ability to keep it together. That means Coumo in NYC, Trump and his team and JT in Canada. Loss of confidence will lead to kaos in my opinion. Beat this virus and let responsibly fall in retrospective.

Glad your confident it won't happen again.

-Majority americans approve of his handling of Covid

-Economy was Booming Pre Covid. Americans will know Trump can restart the economy

-His Base still supports him

-Biden will get destroyed in the debates and doesn't even know where he is,what hes running for or what day it is:lol:

Time will tell! I like his chances

What an embarrassment, how the &^@# are you going to vote for this con artist in November?

“We have a very active flu season, more active than most,” he said “It’s looking like it’s heading to 50,000 or more deaths — not cases, 50,000 deaths. Which is — that’s a lot. And you look at automobile accidents, which are far greater than any numbers we’re talking about. That doesn’t mean we’re going to tell everybody, ‘No more driving of cars.’ So we have to do things to get our country open.”

Re Health coverage. The administration is currently backing a law suit in Texas to invalidate Obamacare and knock 20+ milliion off health insurance. Not even stopping during a global health pandemic.

Re trade deficit. Looks like it's rising during his presidency. So uhhhh good job.

Consumer Confidence is a sentiment indicator. it's doesn't actually measure anything beyond "feelings".

Us wage growth is under performing inflation. So people are losing ground.

Home prices - part of a well established trend. Still it has continued to trend in the right direction.

Unemployment rate - part of a well established global trend. Take a look at unemployment charts in Canada, Germany, Japan, they all look the same.

Middle class income got a boost from the tax cuts. The cuts for the middle class evaporate after 5 years. So those gains are fleeting. The rich keep their cuts forever.

Stock market performance - Do I really need to go there? A market fattened on corporate buybacks. All of that money now vaporized. Those same corporations begging for bailouts.

Food stamp usage - You don't think this 'awesome' economy lifted these people off food stamps do you? The administration led by Stephen Miller changed the rules and thus kicked 5+ million people off food stamps.

Manufacturing output - Stop me if you've heard this before - part of a well established trend. And I might add, had been trending in the wrong direction the last year.

This guy had promised GDP growth of 4,5 even 6%. Never even cracked 3% despite putting up trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see. His Growth rates are worse than the 'dog crap' growth rates put up by Jimmy Carter.

Thanks for playing.

Doesnt matter how you look at it:lol: Unemployment,Stocks, Money and Confidence were all in his favor Pre Covid.People don't care about the,"trends". They care about how they're doing in those categories. Record stocks,Unemployment and Job numbers for all races..Foes,Polls and even Liberals acknowledged and supported his economic numbers and thats very obvious. Not sure what planet you've been on.

"Thanks for playing"..i posted numbers you posted your opinion lol

"Re trade deficit. Looks like it's rising during his presidency. So uhhhh good job.".. So your knocking me for being honest and not hiding $&!#? alrighty then lol

The planet we’re on is the one where your master lies about literally everything and back pedals on what he’s said about covid-19. These are the facts so please don’t try and dispute them.

For all those still holding on to the dream of a DJT 2nd term. First things first, the one thing you cannot do as president is be responsible for unwarranted deaths. That's game over right there. In this whole virus fiasco he's done one thing right. That was quickly curtail travel from China. Kudos to him for that. Sadly for him, that's all he has to hang his hat on. There has been so much missed opportunity and outright failure that it boggles the mind. This will hang around him like a burning tire.

People vote with their wallets. They haven't even seen their 401K statements yet. Think anyone who has seen $400,000 vanish is going to vote for him? It's the 2nd time in 11 years the markets have crumbled and needed trillions in bailouts under a Republican administration. Yeah, let's try them again.

He won the presidency because he won the Rust Belt. He won there because for them they never really recovered from the Great Recession. Their concerns are purely economic. They don't give a rip about building a fantasy wall or illegals. Now they've been financially nailed for the second time in 11 years. The Rust Belt is entirely up for grabs. Including Pennsylvania where Biden is from. Trump doesn't have Clinton to kick around this time. Just like Bernie didn't, and now Bernie's toast.

It's like these people pay no attention to the 2018 mid term elections. Where suburban women who had supported Trump in 2016, abandoned him wholesale and turned out in droves and elected Democratic women in droves. Flipping the House by a wide margin.

To think a president can preside over a market crash of this magnitude. One that needs his good buddy Fed Chairman Powell to come bail him out. Preside over double digit unemployment rates. In addition to a bungled pandemic response is loony toonz.

Oh I guess he could campaign on his failed love affair with Kim Jong Un.

No one cares where they were if they're unemployed and their retirement dreams just sailed away. You got one thing right. People do care how they're doing in those categories. How they doing right now?

What planet have I been on? The one where I have spent the last 21 years with my head buried in all the numbers and charts you posted. The planet where 2.3% GDP fueled by a trillion dollar deficit is crap.

Night.

I need to show you numbers and charts of how the House flipped? You can't see one side has way more seats?

Care to explain why the Federal Reserve was conducting hundreds of billions of dollars in repo operations as far back as September? Bailing out Wall St while the market was at highs?

Image result for socialism sucks

Oh the bitter irony. Trump is now a bigger socialist than Bernie.

He said “Night” because he has absolutely no rebuttal to your post. Gonna be quite the sight to see what’s left of Trump’s base cry and reach for excuses when the Dems win the election.
