Re[publicans tend to be more focused on fewer issues, while  the Democrats have a wider view point on more subjects.

And unfortunately that wider viewpoint on more subjects divides the American voter.

I can’t disagree with the bolded sentence, I am surprised that there wasn’t more opposition to it.

At the time I was not following politics as much-i was a literally a ski- bum- however since researching the subject it is quite obvious that most politicians including the Clintons were/are beholden to their donors and act on their behalf more often than not, instead of on behalf of the people who elected them.

It might seem that way, but it's not really the case...

Think back of the 2016 campaign....Trump's two biggest promises were "Repeal and Replace" Obamacare and "Build the Wall"....

Even with all three branches of government, he wasn't able to get either of these done. In fact, the only major piece of legislation he was able to pass was a big tax cut....and let's face it, convincing rich politicians to cut taxes and make themselves and their friends even richer is like shooting fish in a barrel. Trump did manage to install 3 SCOTUS justices, but that was more about timing than it was savvy legislating.

The Dems' problem is that they have Representatives who serve in traditionally Red states and those people feel like they have to act as a buffer against what their constituents might consider "radical"....With zero room for dissent in the Senate, the Democrats have to walk a bit of a tightrope. The GOP didn't have to worry about that between 2016 and 2018, yet they still couldn't deliver on their two biggest promises.

This beggars the question,do you act on your morals ?

Or do you act in a way that keeps you in "a position of power ?

Personally I know and I believe you guys know my answer to those questions.

GOP snowflakes are only crying about 'cancel culture' now because they can now longer use it as a weapon (like they themselves have done in the past) because they aren't a majority of the voters anymore (able to maintain power via voter suppression & gerrymandering).

It was all about taking money from donors anyhow.

Take in hundreds of millions, spend 2-5 million on bs lawsuits so the hundred millions keep coming in.

Yep. The irony is, the clowns who were yelling "Stop the steal!" were getting ripped off by the same guy they were defending....

"A fool and his money....."

I think I know what the topic of conversation is going to be over at Faux News for the next little while.....

Apparently, Biden's dog Major bit one of the security personnel and both he and their other dog Champ, have been sent back to Delaware.....Of course German Shepherds have a lot of black coloring, so he's obviously a member of ANTIFA.....

....and don't get me started about the "German" part....<_<

That, or the next outrage in the "cancel culture" distraction.  Anything to distract from the fact the American Conservatives have little in public policy that anywhere near popular or pertinent with the average American.  Have those tax cuts paid for themselves yet????

The ironic thing about that is that both initiatives will cost almost exactly the same amount. The difference of course, is that the tax cut was targeted at the people who didn't need the money, while the Relief Bill targets the people that do.....

But hey, "Socialism"....amirite?

Looks like the stimulus cheques will be going out soon.

Biden's name will not appear on 'memo line' on stimulus checks: White House

By Reuters Staff

2 MIN READ

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Joe Biden’s name will not appear on the memo line of stimulus checks that will be issued to most Americans following passage of his coronavirus aid bill, the White House said on Tuesday.

Then-President Donald Trump had asked that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) put his name on the first round of stimulus checks issued during the COVID-19 pandemic last year.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said doing so was not a priority for Biden.

“The president will not appear on the line of the check,” she told reporters. “It will be signed by the career official. This is not about him. This is about the American people getting relief.”

Biden is expected to sign the $1.9 trillion aid bill as soon as this week after the House of Representatives takes up the bill on Wednesday. The chamber, which is controlled by Biden’s fellow Democrats, is expected to approve the bill along party lines.

Psaki said they are working to get $1,400 payments to most Americans included in the bill out as soon as possible. The first payments will go out this month to people who have direct deposit set up with the IRS, she said.

See if you can guess which lying POS requested a Mail-In ballot for a Florida municipal election:

https://www.businessinsider.com/florida-man-donald-trump-requests-mail-in-ballot-palm-beach-2021-3

Quote

Former president and Palm Beach resident Donald Trump is set to vote in local elections by mail after months of falsely claiming the civic process lead to mass voter fraud in the 2020 election.

And according to the Palm Beach Post, it's his third time requesting a mail-in ballot as a Palm Beach County voter.

Trump requested a mail-in ballot a week after the deadline in Palm Beach County, according to the report, meaning that he will have until 7 p.m. local time on Tuesday to turn in his ballot and cast his vote in the Palm Beach municipal elections.

The Post added that in the presidential primary in March 2020 as well as in the August primary, Trump voted by mail.

You can't make this stuff up folks....with Republicans all over the country spreading lies about election fraud and using those lies to enact laws that disenfranchise minority voters, the biggest liar of all is using the same voting method that they are all trying their damnedest to restrict....

That so pissed of when that failure of a business man/president wanted to put his name on taxpayer money being given back to the taxpayer.

According to Nina Olson a former senior official  in the internal revenue service " it's absolutely unprecedented"

Taxes are supposed to be non political it's that simple".

So, I just come up with the answer to the Republicans voting against the 1.9 trillion

We know this Bill will pass with only Democrats putting name to the affirmative vote

I propose that all states must have their senators sign for the stimulus package before getting it

Meaning they would actually have their names to accepting the money

Not quite a vote for, but they would have to admit they wanted it.

I wonder how many states would not sign it? It would certainly cause problems in those states.

Of course Bidden would not do that, but darn, I would love to see it happen.
