Obama gave a campaign speech in front of a car-bound crowd and then, afterwards, grabbed a bullhorn and spoke to a few volunteers outside. If you haven't listened to his speech I'd recommend it, he really rails this failure of an administration hard. Also nice to hear somebody intelligent giving a speech, it's been 4 long years of incoherent 4th grade levels of vocabulary and sentence structure. 

Trump, despite the coronavirus ripping through America, continues to shamelessly spread the virus willingly by packing in crowds. It was pretty funny to hear Trump tell the crowd the only reason he was there was because he was losing lol.

In the midst of all the stupidity about the phony Hunter Biden story and Bone Spurs being a crybaby because Leslie Stahl asked him some real questions, there is one story that seems to be flying under the radar.

 

I remember arguing with several Trump supporters when the Administration instituted their "Zero Tolerance" border policy. One of the common refrains was that "They want legal immigration".....of course we know now that this was not the case. In fact, Jeff Sessions put the family separation policy in place to deter immigration, legal or otherwise.

 

It was quite some time ago that a judge told the administration to reunite the separated children with their parents. Now these scumbags are telling the judges that they can't find many of those parents:

Almost their whole life, they have not been with their parents."

The update on reunification efforts was filed ahead of a status conference scheduled for Thursday before U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw in San Diego.

The filing estimates that two-thirds of the separated parents are believed to have returned to their home countries. Nongovernmental groups appointed by the court have "engaged in time consuming and arduous on-the-ground searches for parents in their respective countries of origin," according to the filing, but those efforts were halted by the coronavirus pandemic and are only now resuming in limited fashion.

NPR's Joel Rose reports that the children initially went into a shelter system before being placed with sponsors across the country and that many will likely try to remain in the United States. The ACLU's Gelernt says about 360 of the children still have not been located.

 

Not long ago, one of the local Trump supporters was telling me how as a father, he was "disturbed" by a Rudy Giuliani claim that a laptop supposedly owned by Hunter Biden contained photos of "underage children".

 

So I'll ask, "As a father, how do you feel about an administration that separates children from their parents as a punishment and doesn't GAF if they ever get reunited?"

The child separation tactic is simply barbaric. Serial killers lack empathy, apparently so does the GOP.

 

They have weaponized immigration to keep people from coming. Many asylum seekers spends years in incarceration because it's better/safer than where they came from. Many eventually give up and go back to die. Could you imagine voluntarily going to jail for years to escape the horrors of where you live?

There are many things about this ridiculous story that need to be cleared up. First, it seemed pretty clear if you listened to the audio, that Buck and Aikman were goofing around and being sarcastic.

 

Two, and most important, they were not caught on a hot mic. This did not take place during a break in the Packers-Bucs game.

This was done before the game, during a rehearsal. That means someone who works at FOX, either in a truck or a broadcast studio, pulled the clip on purpose and then leaked it on purpose to make Buck and Aikman look bad. And the fact that one of their co-workers would leak this clip to make the broadcast duo look bad really sucks.

 

You can be sure Fox is doing some sort of internal investigation to find the culprit.
