lol not hating dude, just being a realist. Benning is not the guy nor is Weisbro, the sooner Benning is gone the quicker we can start building a real team.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, as long as Aquallini owns the team we will not win a Cup.

Nope but maybe Aquallini did

I think he did too, well look at what Canucks were missing was Sutter, so they got a guy similar to Sutter why? To make the playoffs! lol And at the price of the future of course. No patience with this group of guys.

so whats left Benning trading a prospect for a stop gap veteran defencemen  lol so they can take a crack at the cup this year  yaay.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing.  I think our franchise is handcuffed by an owner that, if we win a cup great, but the ultimate goal is the bottom line.  I am not faulting him, he is a businessman, however it appears that he is a businessman that like to micromanage and has a difficult time trusting the people he put into position.  It's a style of management I'm not in favour of.

Benning is trying to appease this micromanaging owner while sticking to his and TL's mandate.  It's a middle ground approach and it is just starting, so I reserve my judgement until the full clearing has happened.

This upcoming draft and FA with cap off the books will really be a tell tale sign...

he's fine. they're protecting an asset that is certain to be traded.

Yeah I think your right.  It also gives Vrbata time to submit a list like someone else mentioned and heal up.  For all we know he might be perfectly fine just he and/or the team wants to ensure he stays healthy.  Vrbatas getting older.  I'm sure if he can jump ship off a losing team onto a contender half way thru a season its a no brainer.  He only has another 3 maybe 4 years left in the nhl.  So I can see him wanting to try and make the most of it to contend for a cup.

This long streak of doing crappy will only burn a fire in his belly and the acquiring team may have a very motivated vrbata headed into the post season.  I'd take a crack at him if I was making a push.

Glad you are not the GM here as Benning has done exactly what he said he would and given that MG left the team in a horrible manner, benning has done awesome so far!

When I watched the injury, it seemed he kinda caught an edge while his skate was sideways and he was half backwards against the boards..

My own guess is a mild knee sprain / twist. Which is ICE > Ice, Compression & elevation to alleviate any swelling. Swelling gone, good to go. At least practice and re strengthen the sprained ligament.

A Hammy or groin is usually a power extension when pushing off skating or turning while stressed or fatigued. It did not look like that.

Bottom line > no big deal. Trade his ass!

I'm guessing  Vrby has played his last game in a nucks uniform.

You think he's injured so badly he won't play any more games this year?  Wow!  I thought WD said one week.  Oh well, Canuck's luck strikes again.:(
