Do the Canucks risk losing fans to the Whitecaps?

Long time follower of the Canucks, don't really post but as a consumer I was wondering with the Canucks brand taking a big hit this year, especially after the tdl is it possible we see a change in the city where the Whitecaps following increases immensely and people start choosing the Whitecaps over the Canucks. For me I've taken my kids to both Whitecaps and Canuck games, and tbh I've enjoyed the Whitecaps alot more.

i can not pay to watch a sport than can have a game end in a  0-0 tie.  No thanks.  Plus soccer has too many players faking injuries than popping up to score the game winner...

Canucks ahead of Whitecaps any day.

I'm a die hard Canucks fan, die hard Liverpool fan, AND diehard Miami Dolphins fan (Yeah, I know, shhhh)

True sports fans can accommodate and love multiple sports.

True, but I noticed you picked a Premiership team and an NFL team as your other teams to love.  Why not the local Whitecaps and Lions?

The Canucks don't really have any competition in this market?  They compete with a second teir football team and a third teir soccer team.  The only true top of its sport game in town is the NHL.

Might not be the best person to ask as I was born and raised in the U.K haha

Hah! Good one!

Oh, you're serious..

And you're asking hockey fans in a hockey forum?

I think soccer players should play with purses on, so they can check their little make-up mirrors to see how they look while they're rolling around on the turf pretending to be hurt.

Best sport to check out current men's hairstyles and sleeve tattoos.

I was born here in Vancouver, and watch the Premieship and the NFL because they are the top of their sports.

LOL!

I'd rather watch our non-playoff Canucks team than ANY championship soccer team.

Soccer is a fun sport to play, but professional soccer is just brutal to watch. I mean, who wants to watch a bunch of slim dudes running around a field for 90+ minutes? And most of the time, the final score is 0-0.

Different fan base really so doubtful.

Also, it is always good to remember that Vancouver sports fans are a bit different in other cities like say Edmonton. Canucks fans tend to be Canucks fans rather than hockey fans or sports fans. So, they don't tend to switch from say Canucks to Giants to Lions to Whitecaps depending on how they're doing. Typically they go from Canucks to BluRay at home.
