Canuck222
Nikolaj Ehlers' visor broke when he was struck by the puck, resulting in an eye injury. Ehlers has blood in his eye chamber, but beyond that the severity of his injury is still being determined. He'll be shutdown complete until the blood dissipates, which means that he won't be engaging in any off-ice activities either. How long it will take to dissipate is still being determined. Winnipeg has called up J.C. Lipon for now. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nhl/4601/nikolaj-ehlers

The Canucks know what devastating eye injuries can do to a guys career.

It was a freak accident that has nothing to do with being soft or injury prone. Canucks fans of all people should know how severe an eye injury could be. Malholtra went from a top shutdown centre who was in the conversations for a Selke in 2011 to playing with one eye for the rest of his career. I hope Ehlers is ok. He has a bright future in this league.

Zaine
Ehlers is so soft. Virtanen would have deflected the puck off his face into the net.
JeremyCuddles
I was gonna make a joke but felt it has already been touched on by others. So I guess I'll just wish him a speed recovery. Not sure if the saying applies here but nonetheless. Scary business when any thing happens to ones face, we had a pretty big scare with Hammer and Manny.
