Lui's Knob
Where do the Canucks draft based on the upcoming schedule and those around them? Well doing a estimated point calculation for all teams around here's how I see it panning out ... (team/current point tally/estimated points tally/final standings) Leafs 55 pts (add 10) 65 pts for 30th Oilers 59 pts (add 11) 70 pts for 28th Jets 59 pts (add 11) 70 pts for 27th Flames 61 pts (add 10) 71 pts for 26th Coyotes 63 pts (add 5) 68 pts for 29th Sabres 63 pts (add 10) 73 pts for 25th Canucks 64 pts (add 13) 77 pts for 23rd Jackets 64 pts (add 11) 75 pts for 24th (*my guess is coyotes win the lottery for 1st overall, toronto picks 2nd, Oilers 3rd) Make your guesses! surtur
Even if we finish last We will be picking 4th The way I see it is whatever place we finish add three spots to get our draft position. Just our luck.

I agree with you that the Coyotes "win" the lottery. Is it really winning when Betman and the boys have it all predetermined?
desiboynux4lifee*******
Canucks' will finish 10th place in the western conference. I put a vince Mcmahon guarantee on it.

Mathew Barzal
We started tanking too late, I say 24th because the teams below us aren't magically going to get better.

brownky
Jackets are gonna put on more than 11 too. They are red hot right now and getting Bobrovsky back. Korpisalo has been strong in injury relief but Torts has those boys playing like mad. For the way they're playing, playoffs are not impossible. They are on a total tear. SvenBae
Calgary will ramp it up til the end of the season so that they can barely miss playoffs and TSN will give some ridiculous excuse like "they only missed playoffs because of the Wideman suspension." Arizona will battle it out with us for 3rd and 2nd last in the division with them squeaking ahead (one can hope right?). Winnipeg, Toronto, Edmonton continue to bomb, while Blue Jackets and Sabres go on inexplicable winning streaks, and we finish 27th.

We need to sit them out if your plan is going to work, don't you think?
Gstank29
The lowest we can finish is 4th and the highest we can finish 8th IMO. To me it doesn't matter where we finishes because the players in that range are all very similar and the only real difference is the style of game they play. Tkachuk Chychrun Dubois Nylander Juolevi

appleboy
It would be nice to see a bit more of a separation between the bottom 8 and the rest of the field. I am not sure if I should be cheering on Buff or the Habs.
yoshiyoshi
Im guessing Philly Carolina and Minnesota will win the draft lottery spots (unless one makes the playoffs) and we will pick 8 or 9th overall
J.I.A.H.N
Interesting question as we enter in to the home stretch. The way I see it we either win one of the top 3 stops, which is a long shot or we stay about where we are now, which is the 8th OA pick. (coincidently, we have pretty much been there since early Feb) So, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and if you look at who is rising and who is falling in the bottom 10, I would say we have a realistic chance of picking 7th, given the chance that one team with more points could be a lottery winner. So, in my wishy washy way, I would say.......6th or 7th.....maybe!.................maybe not!.............but pretty much!
