Where should we trade the Sedin's to?

Let's be honest. The Sedin's don't want to be a part of a rebuild. They have given their entire NHL careers to the Canucks. Now, we should let them loose to another team or to two teams. Where would good fits be for each of them? Imagine one ended up in the West and one in the East and they ended up in the Stanley cup finals...would not every single BC person be glued to the television/radio/province from beginning to end. And wouldn't everybody be glued to the team 1040 listening to Scott Rintoul (the best radio talk show host) cheering on their favourite Sedin?

What do you guys think we could get if we traded the Sedin's or each Sedin to teams?

Welcome to CDC, matt, but you'll have to learn to search before you can jump straight to creating new threads. This particular topic was brought up earlier today (albeit with Miller included):

It's something that's brought up periodically as well, and the answer still hasn't changed - particularly since both the Sedins and Benning have said they'll retire here.

OK first off... the sedins won't be traded too two different teams, not a chance!

2nd, it would have to be a contender and there are few of those with enough Cap space, Maybe the Stars or Rangers, but it wont happen this year... maybe next year when they have less of a cap hit to teams, but not this summer or year.

3rd, they love Van and want to be here.

I would like to see the Sedins traded one day so we can collect the crazy amount of picks/ prospects we could get for them but I also want them to retire as Canucks. Its a fine line but I hope we can do it.

I want to see them here next year mentoring the kids- after that year, get traded to a contender and win a cup- and then come back and make a good push with our next core and go for another cup,- then I want them to retire as Canucks because they are two of the best players in Canucks history and I want their numbers in the rafters!
