2 records set

So on the negative side , Canucks have officially set a franchise record for longest goal drought in franchise history. Not a great milestone for sure.

On the flip side , Markstrom has now beaten his career high shots against in a single game keeping it a one goal game while he passed it. While the offensive record may be startling , I suggest looking at the positives. The Markstrom experiment is turning out great. Our young guys are getting a crash coarse in NHL education , and we will get a gold draft pick this year.

Cheers boys and girls ;)

I loved Lack, I really did. My girl also had a huge crush on him and was devastated when he got traded. In fact she doesn't even want to watch the games anymore because she hates Millers face. So needless to say loosing him was hard, but Marky looks like the real deal and I'm very glad we have him.

Marky's been a real gem this season, he looks like the real deal.

Did everything but score out there.

What a season though, the 5-2 bit and now this. And we're on pace to break yet another record short of some crazy offensive outbursts. Damn.

Another record for the Benning regime how do we rank them?

1. Lowest scoring canucks team in franchise history

2. Signing the highest paid forward to have never scored more then 40 points

3. Longest goal scoring drought in franchise history

This regime should be proud of itself!

He didn't score a hattrick? What a bust.

Why is this so negative ?  This is a pre-season team and a youth movement unprecedented in franchise history

The team is tanking.

But that wasn't the intention. Remember "100 point team" - Jim Benning

This^^^^...

Baertschi 23 yo; Bo 20 yo (21 in a couple of weeks); Virtanen 19 yo; Gaunce 22 yo; Grenier 24 yo; McCann 19 yo (almost 20); Vey 24 yo; Etem 23 yo; Hutton 22 yo (almost 23); Tryamkin 21 yo; Pedan 22 yo.

Everyone wanted a youth movement...this is what happens with a full blown youth movement.  The present is dark and gloomy...but the future is bright.

What did u expect ? U give Benning 2 years to fully rebuild this team and what....we should already be wining the presidents trophy or something ? Ur missing the point. The Hawks and Kings  sucked big time before they built winners. This is exactly why people thought Vancouver couldn't handle a rebuild.
