PainduCanuck
This trade would be based on the Canucks winning the lottery and getting Auston Matthews. (That would make McCann expendable IMO) To VAN: Drouin and Anthony Deangelo To TB: McCann, Baertschi, Rodin and 2017 3rd. 2016-2017 lineup: Sedin-Sedin-Sutter Drouin-Matthews-Virtanen Gaunce-Horvat-Hansen Burrows-Granlund-Etem/Dorsett Edler-Tanev Sbisa-Deangelo Hutton/Hamhuis-Tryamkin (Hamhuis re-signs, Vey goes to the AHL)
chon derry
we know what baertschi's all about ,we know that mcann has upside, we have hope that rodin works out. nobody knows what drouin can do and everything we do know about his attitude stinks . i,m hoping jb can get us a bigger dman than 5'11"
Patrick Jane
Trading Rodin would not look good on Management. ...i do like that Gaunce is in the lineup though.
Threadsetter1
I would rather take my chances on our 3 prospects than go after a guy like Drouin and essentially drain our prospect pool. However, I do like how you threw in Deangelo as he would be a huge prospect to add to our system. Right handed puck moving d man. I have heard that he has struggled with attitude and likeness by someteamates, or at least that was the case in Junior. A package for Deangelo would most likey look something like this: Pedan, Gaunce, 4th for Deangelo, 3rd ^ Best guess. Idk if Drouin is worth all that you would have to give up. He hasn't proved anything yet.

No way this trade would happen, but I do support the idea. "If" Canucks get Matthews, it would create a center log jam, and I could see McCann as a asset to trade for Drouin. I just think the other players involved would be different.
goblix
You can't trade Rodin and Baertschi right now. they have improved dramatically and are still trending upwards. I'm not sure if I am interested in Drouin currently. I think Matthews is pretty much an all around distributer of the puck that can pot in the puck. So much if's right now but I agree with @2011 we're not trading Baer or Rodin.
Pears
It makes absolutely 0 sense to trade Baertschi and Rodin, especially since we literally just signed Rodin.
BCNeil
Like others have said. Trading Rodin right after signing him is in poor taste. Baertschi is the bright spot of the year offensively. He will be third in scoring next year....behind....well guess. Leaves them with a big hole in their defence. So this trade would force them to address that, with another trade. Drouin sounds like a baby. He could grenade the entire rebuild.

Yes he is a very talented young player, but plagued with character issues. Has nobody seen "Draft Day"

People here just overrate their own players so much sometimes. If I had a chance to get drouin and it involved Baertschi and Rodin, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Doing well in SEL doesn't mean you'll do well in the NHL, rodin is no lock.

Rodin JUST signed a contract, it doesn't look well onto an organization to move a player that they just signed. On Baertschi I agree he hasn't really done overly amazing but he's trending upwards and was playing some good hockey. I'd rather hold on to a player like that. On Drouin, he'd cost alot more than Baertschi, I'd rather keep the multiple assets at this point in time
Ukcanuckzfan
As someone who watches every game TB play due to being in the UK. From a Tampa Bay perspective I wouldn't go near this deal at all. Why? Drouin has been playing rather well for us in the play-offs and is starting to show his potential, plus potentially losing stamkos this summer means we need someone to step up and Drouin is showing that he can step up. It seems he is ready to put his head down now. Trading Deangelo makes no sense at all he is our best defensive prospect I would argue over slater koekkoek. Also we have an ageing D-line and getting more defensive players remains our priority this trade makes no sense for TB. Tampa Bay has a very deep pool in the forwards area and McCann, Baertschi, Rodin. Would add nothing to the team where would they play? The skilled players here aren't good enough for our 1st and 2nd line. They aren't gritty enough for the 3rd and 4th line. This would be a cope out of a deal, not worth it at all for TB, it's rather one sided.
Z Hockey
Huge overpayment for less proven talent and both Drouin & DeAngelo are known to have attitude/personal problems. McCanns value is similar to Drouins right now and I wouldn't trade Baertschi alone for DeAngelo and you threw in Rodin and a 3rd?
