China is on my list of places to visit. The smog/pollution is the biggest detractor. Not even the language barrier, just the air quality. How cool would it be to watch a professional hockey game there while eating some dumplings in the stands!

Oh god, I can't even imagine the horrible smell of thousands of cheep dumplings. Those things smell bad after a while.

You'd be lucky to not get food poisoning lol... I'm from Hong Kong, worth a visit there :)

Besides Beijing, it's not bad. Shanghai was no worse than say New York City last time I went.

oh god plz don't come to China

I dont want Chinese people to think hockey players have big ego, soft, money crazed athletes...

tbh i will rather take John Scott or heck even Lappy...  at least they are entertaining to watch...

I hate seeing someone with the talent of Kovalchuk has have such an ego and be all about the money. Yet, most major events in his career lead me to believe he's just like that. Really, being scratched in the KHL repeatedly when you're among the most gifted scorers of your generation? There must be some serious attitude issues.

Will be amusing to see any follow up news to this development if any in the future.

I thought I'd get food poisoning from eating at those food stands in Hong Kong (some market in Tai Po) but it never happened...and I have a sensitive belly.

In fact...it was one of the best bowls of noodles I've ever had.  Must have been all that rat poop in the soup base...

Best part...it was like $4 CDN with a drink and tip...

Kovi screwed himself. Nobody goes to Russia because they have unrelenting work ethic. (except maybe Jags)

He needs all 30 teams to allow him back and no way NJ is finished being pissed. He will have to wait.

He also needs to earn his reputation back. I mean, if freakin' Russia cuts you, how bad do you have to be? They love Radulov & Kostitsyn's.
