  if memory serves me well, Utica has signed at least 5 players to PTO's this season.  that tells me that the organization is seriously looking at Every option to improve.  even if a guy is a tiny bit gifted we're giving him a look.  and the same goes for the canucks.  people are pissing and moaning about guys like vey and bartkowski, but they don't seem to have a Clue about where to find a person to replace him.  there simply are no players in the organization to replace them.

   kudos to them and some others!!  weber, biega etc.

    guts.  no glory.  no quit.  bravo!!

  these guys have been taking heat all season and it's really quite disgusting to read some of the posts.  they give ALL they can, game in and game out.  why not praise the effort and cheer their shifts?  it's not their fault that there is little talent around them, that they are forced to play minutes they shouldn't be saddled with

  think about how the canucks would fare if hutton wasn't so amazing.  if miller wasn't outstanding many nights and markstrom wasn't emerging so strongly.  of course there are the injuries, but that's an excuse.  depth should cover the short term, but there isn't any depth.

  kids are thrust into roles and the expectations are Well beyond what they should have to deal with.

 how did the organization become so depleted?  there have been a few controversial trades, but not many.  players often simply didn't want to play for the people in charge.  I see that changing with the new bosses.  as long as aquil-idiot keeps his fingers out of the pie!!

  I don't know whether this is a normal stat for the ahl teams, but a quick look shows me that there are at least 1/2 dozen guys in Utica (and some in the big league) who are still on entry level contracts.  it's all talent to be evaluated.  those that don't cut it are dealt, like shinkaruk. (attitude and family meddling etc) or demoted or released

  canucks are in a great position to grab top quality prospects in the first few rounds of the draft and will have lots of cash to spend on free agents.

but that doesn't mean we'll all of a sudden be serious contenders.  the idea is to look at things a few years down the road, not as instant success.

 I have strong neck muscles from shaking my head so often at the fools who post stupid and at times moronic statements about almost anything.

  here's my advice to them and others - be Patient.  be Positive.  turn off your cell and Watch the damned game!!  you're Not a FAN if all you can do is bash them all the time and stop going to the games.  you're Not a FAN if you can only see cup wins as the end result.

  the Sport is called HOCKEY.  a few hundred of the very best in the whole wide world participate. if you appreciate the GAME, you cheer and clap and make noise and have fun.  there seems to be a need to bring in some fans who are intelligent and love the game just for the sake of seeing the amazing skills these people have.  there sure aren't enough in Vancouver. 

 i've been compiling a list of negative posters and it's surprising long.  much longer than the positive people.  I might just post it...but a fool never learns and I'm not sure it would serve any other purpose than to let them see their names in print.  we'll see tho!  lol

  i'm prepared for a barrage of negative crap - fire away!  10 to 1 that most are on my list  lol

    and that's bushdog's rant.

OP, if you want to rant, write it on a piece of paper, crumple it up into a ball, and throw it into the trash. If you're still compelled to put this on CDC, do it in a blog post instead of creating a thread.

 

Oh, and Utica hasn't been signing a bunch of PTOs to try and unearth any gem possible, it's because they've been decimated by call ups due to our injuries and injuries of their own.
