Las Vegas team name ideas (for fun)

Please keep the pitchforks and torches to a minimum, I used the search function and couldn't find a related thread. (I'm also not spending more then 30 seconds searching because it's a waste of my life) unless you're a appointed moderator with a proper reason, commenting on anything but the thread topic will be met with the classic "you're a loser get a life"

So at this point as most of us know, it's inevitable that the Nhl is coming to Las Vegas, as a new franchise, (a 21st century franchise to boot) they need an appealing name.

What are some suggestions you guys think would work nicely? I've heard the Las Vegas Aces a few times and it rings nicely, but lately I also had a couple ideas of my own:

The Las Vegas Road Runners

OR

The Las Vegas Road Warriors.

Have some fun, be creative, let someone know if you like their idea and not every idea has to be serious.

My prediction will remain unchanged from 2 years ago.      THE LAS VEGAS COYOTES.  Why?   because when Bettman sold Pheonix to the current owners, there was a clause in the contract that if the team sustained 50 million in losses in the first 5 years under the new ownership, they would be allowed to relocate..   By season end this year they will most definatly have reached that number as they only had to lose 15 million more this year.       This is why I think Bettman held off on Expansion this year as he knows he has to honor that deal he made.

How much money does Arizona usually get at a loss?

Expansion has to get approve by all ownership and then at a minimum it will take a year before the draft would happen.  The vote is expected to happen this year meaning the draft can't take place until the end of next season.  Expansion was always slated to be the 2017-18 season.

Secondly Bettman wants an expansion, the league makes more money from the expansion fees, which is around 450 million added to league revenue.  They also want to even out the league.  If Arz is going to relocate it will be to Seattle,  Vegas already has ownership in place and has deep pockets to be willing to shell out the expansion costs.

Las Vegas is more interested in the NBA and will shell out admirably for that, where as I'm sure they would be quite happy to just be a lease holder of the arena for a hockey team.      That's what they are after first and foremost.   As well seattle has no venue and last time I looked there wasn't a race for one.  they aren't getting an NBA team anytime soon as that would be an instant build if they were to get both.     As well bettman has contractual obligations to current  coyotes owners that he has to honor that's why I predict the Las Vegas Coyotes.  TIME WILL TELL

Arizona has an out clause to move. Arizona already has ownership, they want to move, not sell....

Vegas already has ownership in place, and Bill Foley wants an NHL team .  Vegas arena is also own by AEG, the same group that owns the LA kings (along with 3 AHL& ECHL other hockey teams). Vegas could possibly want NBA, but they do want NHL and the people are already in place to make that happen.  Bettman wants more revenue and a stronger US market.  Vegas is an expansion, not relocation.

Bettman has not defined anything yet.  Vegas already has the summer nba thing going on , don't kid yourself this is about making money and NBA in the USA is money where as Hockey is a crapshoot. ha ha

You're right it's about making money and Bettman wanting the 450 million in expansion fees with a ownership group already committed to ponying up and paying that.

And you think Bettman would rather reject that 450 million (along with the extra revenue the team generates), all so he can relocate a team. A team that would have an instant rivalry with each other. Again Vegas isn't a relocation is an expansion.

The last GM/ownership meeting the NHL presented possible expansion draft rules because? ...They thought it would be fun...?
