the most dramatic call ever

Recommended Posts

Saw this on highlights yesterday, and I thought it was goofy, like he was trying to put himself on stage.

What get's me more is when they say "the call on the ice...", when no call was made on the ice in the first place.  Makes it even more confusing at that point when no explanation was given.

We deserve better responses from the refs in these cases.  Make a call on the ice, have it reviewed, and explain what the situation is.  If that quality is given, I would be more willing to accept the pseudo-drama provided last night.

Pretty good for a referee!  Best I've heard so far.

Overall in sports though it's still Rick Jeanneret, former Sabres color guy, who tops my list and it's not even close.  I mean, you want passion and drama?  Just listen to this legendary broadcaster!

I don't like it.

For some reason the referees seem to think that people are paying good money to come and watch them. They should just do their job and stay in the back ground which they will if they are doing it right.
