Salter
Obviously swings the stick in anger towards an opponents face, you can see the eye contact and the extra shot of strength Keith gives. Do you see this big name getting suspended? If so how many games. Thank you Twilight Sparkle for the gif! Like More
Odd.
If the NHL gets this suspension wrong.. Duncan, you're so effing stupid. Stupid, stupid player. At least 3 games.
canucks.brad
reckless with his hockey stick...but i think that is all. To me he is rolling over and swinging in one motion. 1 game if it were up to me. keith has to me more careful. i doubt he gets anything though edit: after seeing the video it looks like Keith pauses before full swinging...and thus a deliberate attack. I say give him 10 games. but knowing the NHL it will be 6. 5 regular season games and 1 playoff.

DIBdaQUIB
Not the first time he has swung his stick at a player's head. But...he is Duncan Keith and plays for the Hawks. M<y money is on nothing more than a fine if that.

He disguised it well and could make an argument that it was a mistake...but anyone with a brain can see that he swung that stick at Coyle's face. At least 3 if I was dishing out the penalty...5 if he's had a suspension before. But Shanny did give Marchand 3 games for his 3rd clipping offence....next time Marchand only get s1 game by Shanny's logic.

Duncan Keith is cold and calculated. That piece of $&!# did it on purpose and he has hit people in the face before with his stick. Hell, he said he was 'closing the gap' when he viciously assaulted daniel sedin. That guy is a total jackass that thinks he can get away with anything. I'd bet he was very frustrated at having just landed flat on his back from being pushed by Coyle while Coyle's stick was behind his legs. He intentionally swings upwards and into Coyle's face when he could have rolled with his stick over his head but more parallel to the ice. It just depends on if the NHL can make it stick as intentional rather than reckless for how long the suspension is. Or wait, did Keith get asked by the Chicago trainers to go to the quiet room after being knocked to the ice in case he had a concussion?
AriGold
Seen this story before.. He will get a 6 game suspension and what Chicago get is their #1 minute man refreshed and ready for the playoffs. These incidents are almost a blessing in disguise for some NHL clubs.
Chalky
He'll get the Kieth suspension....which is a fine. I have no faith the dops will do the right thing.
Salmonberries
As has been mentioned, it's not Duncan Keith's first rodeo. He certainly deserves a fairly stiff suspension; we'll see what the league is prepared to do in the way of suspension. I'm hoping for something fair but I'm not holding my breath. BCNeil
He will get the rest of the regular season, I am not sure how many game they have. But I don't see this going into the playoffs.
poetica
That's every bit as bad as what Kassian did, only worse because Kass was reckless but not deliberately violent. Keith did it on purpose.
canuckledraggin
That's the same stick swing we saw with Kassian on Sam Gagner a couple years back. Was it 5 games or 6? Seems like the same foul basically.
