Is nothing sacred..Bubbles arrested for choking a women in Hollywood...

Trailer Park Boys" star Michael Smith is behind bars after witnesses say he choked a woman at Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel.

Sources at The Roosevelt tell TMZ ... Smith, who plays Bubbles on the Netflix show, was with a female friend early Friday morning when they got into an argument in the bathrooms next to the pool. We're told guests said it sounded like the shouting was over who Smith had been texting. 

Our sources say they heard the woman yell, "you're choking me" and when they ran over ... they saw Smith pinning the woman up against the bathroom wall. Smith bolted and cops were called.

Law enforcement says Smith was booked for misdemeanor domestic battery, and released a few hours later. We've reached out to a rep for the actor ... so far, no word back.

Smith is really stupid. Men fighting other men is one thing, but doesn't he know that if you're a well known person and even put your hand on a woman, for any reason (Trump's campaign manager is a good example) you are asking for trouble, even if you are goaded or provoked into it. Social media will rip this guy to shreds. 

 

It would be really hard to loudly scream 'You're choking me!' if he was really choking her. He might have had his hands on her throat or something, but whatever. Still a stupid move by Smith.

 

But hey, #IBelieveSurvivors. Skip the trial and throw the guy in prison. We need to get rid of due process for white male sh*tlords. Why? Because it's 2016.

TRAILER PARK BOYS RELEASE STATEMENTS FROM PARTICIPANTS

 

TORONTO, April 2, 2016 - Regarding Mike Smith's involvement in an incident that occurred early Friday, April 1st in Hollywood, following are statements issued by the participants:

 

Georgia Ling, described as the victim in this incident, stated: “Mike and I did indeed have a heavy argument but it saddens me the way things are being reported and the way it was handled by the police. At no point did I feel I was in danger, otherwise I would've called the police myself, which I did not. The police were called by others not present in the room who mistakenly perceived the argument to be something other than what it was. When the officers arrived I tried to assure them there was no real issue, but they proceeded to arrest Mike".

 

Mike Smith commented: "Georgia is a friend of mine and we had a loud and heated dispute. That is all. At no time did I assault her. I am not guilty of the misdemeanor charged against me."

 

The other members of the Trailer Park Boys and all staff stand behind Mike and look forward to the matter being resolved favorably.

Lucy DeCoutere resigns from Trailer Park Boys after Mike Smith's arrest

Trailer Park Boys actress Lucy DeCoutere tweeted Saturday she was resigning from the show, only hours after her colleagues released a statement in support of actor Mike Smith, accused of domestic battery in Hollywood.

"If I find out that somebody is abusive, I cut them out of my life. It's very easy," DeCoutere tweeted earlier Saturday afternoon.

In another tweet, she said her resignation was connected to Smith's arrest.

Smith, 43, plays the character Bubbles on the popular television show that recently made its debut on Netflix with Season 10. 

Smith and his friend, Georgia Ling, described as the alleged victim, both disputed the charge in the statement. 

"At no time did I assault her. I am not guilty of the misdemeanour charged against me," Smith said in the statement. 

DeCoutere was a complainant in the recent sexual assault case against former CBC Radio host Jian Ghomeshi, in which he was acquitted.
