Jaku
http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/998999 I don't think anyone should be surprised by this, it was a vicious cross check and he's been in the dog house a few times this year.
73 Percent
If you go by the last suspension (keith) and compare its too much imo.

You're right they're not. The league isn't consistent with their suspensions, I will guarantee that if a player of lesser status in the NHL slashed Coyle in the face like Keith did it would have been 10+ games. But because Keith is of elite caliber the NHL is way too lenient with him and his suspension.

Mackcanuck
Before the ruling was announced by the NHL, Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock wasn’t convinced the check was as bad as it looked. “(Kadri) got his helmet knocked off and cross-checked the guy right in the arm. Glenny braced himself and his shoulder pad rode up,” Babcock said. “You have to command your fair share of the ice if you’re going to play hard, I got no problem with it. You can’t cross-check people in the head, but you’re allowed to cross-check people in the arm." On Friday, Kadri was cited for his third instance of diving/embellishment and fined $5,000 by the league. He has also been fined $5,000 for his throat-slash gesture toward Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano in February.
Tortorella's Rant
Not as embarrassing as that throat slash gesture. Like I said, that works if you're Lucic, not Nazim "softer than butter" Kadri.

This isn't about the suspension this is about some one in the league helping TO tanking, there last 4 games without there leading centre...... it helps
elvis15
Does have some run ins this year with the DoPS but not as directly relateable history as Keith's so I still think Keith should have got more. Stupid plays like this that are reckless and have a high potential for injury should be punished heavily though.
Alexandre
DOPS so inconsistent no one is able to predict how many games players will receive.

wren223
Wow, no consistency from DoPS. Five Games to Keith and four to Kadri? Just goes to show how little Keith really got because Kadri's little move wasn't a little tap or some shoulder pad riding up. Even if it was, like how Babcock sees it, it doesn't take into account the intent. You watch the play and as kadri gets up you know he has one thing and one thing alone on his mind, getting Glendening back and getting him good. He doesn't care about the current play, where the puck is or what Glendening is doing, he just wants to hurt him. I think for that reason and the head shot this deserves the four games. Kadri is like this constantly. He is cheap and dirty with whacks, and chops and little cheap moves but when someone does it to him or he gets hit hard he goes right back at the other player. He doesn't come clean, he doesn't try to fight him or get a big check he comes with a slash, a hit or a cross-check. He's operating in a really dangerous way right now. He's going to seriously hurt someone or someone's going to really hurt him. However, I'm sure kadri sees nothing wrong with what he did and that it isn't his fault. It should still be more, but Kadri's was a bit more cut an dry that it was always going to be a high cross check (and no, Babcock, those aren't legal in any form really) where maybe Keith was just careless with his stick. Thank you for the correctiong. True. I think Kadri had a whole lot more intent but still you have to keep control of your stick. Players get called for highsticking when their stick gets lifted but it's their responsiblity to maintain control. Keith knows better and it was just a dumb move. However, agree that kadri's was much more clear cut and easier to call.
