It's one exciting thing for our organization, we have a good chance to make a deep run in the AHL playoffs especially with our send downs.

Who get's sent down? Trymakin, Biega, Higgins, Pedan, etc???

Add Virtanen and McCann and Vey if possible. Probably Higgins.

Pedan and Biega,Kenins etc for sure.

Tryamkin is going back to Russia soon as season ends he as a clause in his contract where he doesn't want to play in the minors. NHL or KHL next year for him.

He has shown enough to play as a regular on the bottom pair for the Canucks next year.

Hutton's eligible and should be headed to Utica, same goes for Pedan,

and Gaunce. I really don't know the deal with Tryamkin, but he did sign a two way contract, and Biega ... did he sign a one way when he was brought up? Can't remember what's happening there.

Virtanen, McCann are age ineligible, and both they and Tryamkin and Hutton can't come down as they weren't "papered" to the roster at the TDL.  Higgins is eligible and needed but has a newborn and probably won't be asked to come down as he will be moved or bought out this summer.  Hopefully Boeser and Demko get signed after NCAAs they would be eligible.

God.  Alf would be over the moon (literally - I do have a spaceship) if both the college stars played for Utica this playoff run.  ::D

Me too, although only figuratively.  Boeser is exactly what we need now.  The jump from college netminder to AHL is a little high for Demko and I seriously doubt Travis would risk it, but who knows. Our goalies have been ok, occasionally great, but we were spoiled by Marky last year, who was great every night. A lights out Demko and a sniper would make us very interesting in the Calder Cup hunt.  We will get Gaunce, Pedan, Kenins, Zalewski back and maybe a long shot for Higgins (come on Higgy just do it!) and some of our injured guys (Archibald, Negrin, Lain), and we are competitive.

Marlies look real good as WD would say and we will have to work to get by Albany to get them in the 2d round.

You will get by those nasty Rats.  Really, who likes rats?

Alf will pick you up and show you the stars, like you have never seen them.  You can bring your cat if you like.B)

please JB get both Demko and Boeser to Utica!

2 way contracts have nothing to do with eligibility there friend. They only determine the amount of money the player is owed if he suits up in the NHL, or the AHL.

Waivers still apply, as do roster rules regarding AHL playoffs. It's just like @hobart16 said, they weren't assigned before the TDL because well Tryamkin didn't exist here yet, and the others were still playing some meaningful NHL minutes. Well, maybe not McCann, poor guy.

Actually, Hutton is the only one I'm a bit unclear on since he's 22, but a rookie signed out of the NCAA.

Well shut the front door.

Always figured 2ways could just move between leagues at the franchise's will. Thanks for the lesson Green.

So I guess Hutton wouldn't be eligible and I have no idea what's going on with Biega

Biega isn't eligible either.

Players from the Canucks are only eligible if they were on the Comets roster on March 1 at 3 p.m.   That means Kenins, Zalewski, Higgins, Gaunce and Pedan. That's it.  Nobody else on the Canucks is eligible.

My guess is they don't send Higgins back to Utica.  They will very likely send Kenins and Zalewski back and probably Gaunce and Pedan.

Players who finish their seasons in junior or university can join the Comets after their teams are eliminated from the playoffs.  For NCAA players, it would end their university eligibility.  By that, it doesn't mean former juniors such as Virtanen or McCann who are finishing the season in the NHL-it means players who actually complete the season in junior.

I think that since Hutton signed right from the NCAA and was never assigned to the Comets he would have had to both clear waivers, and have done so prior to the CHL TDL to be eligible for the playoff run. Biega would need to clear waivers too I think, because he's 28.

I actually don't think anyone from the Canucks is eligible, since none of them were assigned prior to that CHL TDL date. When did we call Higgins up again?

edit: except for all of the things @tyhee said
