*Buzzsaw*
Columbus beats Sabres 4-1 to move ahead of the Canucks by one point in League standings leaving Canucks in #3 Draft position. Both Jackets and Canucks have one game left... if Columbus wins its last game the Canucks will draft #3 whether or not they beat the Oilers. If both teams lose in overtime or shootout, same applies. If Canucks lose, then obviously we stay where we are. Edit: Canucks will not necessarily draft #3... they will enter the Draft Lottery in the #3 position. Glory_Days
Nice, if status-quo remains the same after tomorrow, that means at worst Canucks would draft 6th ovr if all the teams behind us won every lottery spot, which is unlikely. Canucks would likely draft anywhere from 2nd-5th, with a better chance at drafting 1st ovr than 6th! Even if we were to draft 6th, one of the big three D would still be available no matter what...unless some teams went crazy off the boards and let one of the Finns drop to 6th. Mathew Barzal
Well, they won't necessarily draft at #3, that's just their final place in the standings. But I'm not complaining.

Time Lord
If we win in a shootout (important detail because winning in regulation would tie us in ROW and we have the season series) and they get 1 point, they stay ahead of us. If we get 1 point and they get 0, they stay ahead of us. Edit: by "ahead" I mean in the standings, not in the pre-lottery draft order. Just clarifying. They could win the Cup 10 years in a row, and they would still be in the same pimple on the ass of the planet. now COlumbus. We love them. Go Jackasses Go! Kanucklehead10
Hope Chicago plays sits Kane, Panarin, Toews and play a half assed game because they're making playoffs anyways and probably going to win the Stanley cup again. Jackets play a well fought last game of the season. Go Jackets Go! Hoping the Canucks close out the last game at home on a good note too. Close. Oh so Close. -AJ-
Frankly, I'm fine with a 4th Overall pick. Still means we could get Chychrun. If not, then we get an even better player.

Of course I'd love the better player, but I'd still be ecstatic with Chychrun. I feel like it falls off a fair bit after that. As long as we're in the top 4, we're in position to get an elite talent.
